You really wouldn't be able to keep a charge and bullet in there, I don't think, swinging it around... and the barrel down the sword, I imagine would make it structurally weak... Furthermore, I'd think that it'd be terrible upkeep on the barrel to keep it clear... and harsh on it, if the blade suffers damage... Ah, and of course, you could likely be weakening the blade with the heat from any fired shots... *taps lip* Personally... I'd be a no go on it. Kad and Brovp both have says, though.
