Most notably she has power to fight curses, cleans evil, make barriers, erect seals, talk with, channel, and order the dead. Consecrated blade: Her sword; Saigo no Kiyo ( Last of the pure ) is a specially made blade, blessed by the head of a long dead shrine, with mantra's carved into the metal to ward of evil. Highly effective against the dead and malicious spirits. It is generally more effective against demons than a regular sword but is by no means a significant game changer against one. Shinju must regularly cleanse and purify the blade to keep its enchantments strong. Because of it's enchanted nature she does most of her magics with the blade as her focus, with out the blade on her body her magics become half strength. " Possession": Shinju is able to call on 3 spirits to aid her in battle, channeling them into herself. Each one has a unique effect on her battle capabilities. These can only be used while she is holding her sword in her hands and only one at a time.
"Father": Sinju is enveloped in a misty red aura. While Channeling 'father', her physical strength is greatly increased. She is no faster at all or any better of a swordswoman. "Mother": Sinju is enveloped in a silvery mist. While channeling 'mother' her speed and agility is greatly increased, she can match even great shinobi. Her strength is no greater than her neutral state. "Brother": Sinju is enveloped in a blue mist while she channels 'brother, though not as completely as the others. It will focus about her forearms, shoulders, and shins; and appear much like she is wearing ghostly samurai armor. Stronger than steel, she can turn even powerful attacks. She is even slower than normal in this state.
Weakness: Her skills are too divided. She is not an amazing swords woman and she is not a exceptional shrine maiden. She is barely better than slightly above average at both. She can't seem to fight with her spirit form for more than 10 minutes. Background: A young shrine maiden who is experienced great tragedy in these chaotic times. A band of demons attack her shrine to get at and corrupt the artifacts they held inside. Her family and friends were all killed and she was the only survivor. She refuses to speak of how the demons managed to get past the temples defenses or what all she saw as she fled the horrific scene. She managed to run with one of her shrines minor artifacts, the katana she now wields. Years later she emerged from hiding as a swords woman and with more matured priestess skills. What happened in those years while she was all but dead to the world, was that she was taken in by her last remaining family. Her swords man uncle and elder priestess grandmother. While her grandmother tried to get her to continue to train as a shrine maiden, she secretly trained with her uncle afraid she would once more be powerless before demonic might. When she turned 15, she left them and took the blade with her. she has since taken to wielding the sword against evil rather than guarding it from it. She spent the last 10 years working primarily as a demon hunter and hired blade; not a bad business to be in at the moment Fun Fact: No one is sure if those 3 spirits she uses in combat are her actual family. The ghost spirit orbs of her 'family' can sometimes be seen floating by her out of the corner of one's vision but never seen if looked directly at her. while few people ever catch a good look, it seems that there is a 4th spirit that hovers about her.
