Ooooh, that does lead to an interesting question; can characters choose their missions or are they relegated them? Tristan will go [b]NOPE[/b] if he has a choice to go with Cristoff (what with, you know, the whole brother killing prophecy and avoiding questions about Devan's death and all). On the other hand, if we're relegated the missions Tristan won't have a choice.
