Alari was all smiles until Mera mentioned he wasn't too far off from his embrace, hearing that Alari's head drooped as a sudden depression hit him all at once. He worried he might actually tear up at the loss of the possibility but he did agree that death would not come quickly even if he had earned it anyway. He raised his head as Mera continued speaking before smiling when she thanked him. There was many things Alari did without and thanks was among them, not that he wanted any but hearing it still made him really happy, of course he wouldn't say that he enjoyed it out loud, he did want to hear it again someday. When she looked at her wrists he looked at the cuffs and looked at his sleeve where he held the key, Mary had told him not to remove them in the first place so she would probably be content but a part of him worried he might have taken them off anyway. He hoped wherever she was that she'd be able to see the fireworks when they start, it'd be a shame to miss them. He lowered his sleeve when Mera looked back at the sky, the words that followed brought a warm feeling to his chest causing him to reach up and grip it for a moment. "I await the day it's under different circumstances," Alari said smiling at her. "You should do what your heart tells you, do what you feel is right Mera, who knows you might get away with it." Alari grinned and looked up at the sky running a hand through his hair as the preparation seemed to be finishing up. "Not many thank me for my insistence I'm more than happy to continue." Larel glanced over at Hotaru when she spoke before letting out a small sigh as she mentioned the prizes, he smiled however when she mentioned returning the favor, he waved his hand in front of his face indicating it was alright. "I didn't want to owe Alari so I got him something, I can deal with getting him a horrid gift, I can't deal with owing him a favor. Kaori would have just whined if I got Alari something and ignored him," Larel said shrugging. "Hey!" Kaori said. "Well you would have," Larel said not looking back at him. "That's beside the point, you're mean La-chan." "Never...call me that again if you want to continue resembling a living thing." When Eryn spoke to him he looked over at Hotaru taking in her appearance again before turning back towards the sky, since Eryn brought attention to it he found it difficult to look now. A slight blush formed on his cheeks but he said nothing for awhile as the two spoke, smiling a little when Eryn said brute which Kaori nodded to agreeing wholeheartedly probably because he was out of swinging distance. When Eryn spoke again Larel brought his hand to his chin before looking over at Hotaru then at Mera then back to Hotaru. "I don't see any real change in Mera-sama but if this is your handiwork Eryn I'll admit I was taken aback for a moment but you just made Hotaru prettier right? I don't know how to respond to your inquiry I'm sorry. Also I don't think Hotaru's a brute, she just expresses herself differently." Kaori jaw had dropped at Larel's words and he had to speak up after hearing that. "How can you say Mera-dono hasn't changed Larel, that's almost an insult," Kaori said. "Also I wouldn't mind living in your world for a day Larel, if Taru-chan's actions are 'expressions' to you." "Be nice Kaori we talked about insulting Hotaru and don't mind the comment about Mera," Alari said glancing back at him. "Larel has his master vision on, when it's on he only sees his master, any other characteristic is unnecessary." "I feel like that's an insult," Larel said glaring at him. "You just insulted me didn't you." "Nope just a fact, it's a shame because she really looks beautiful tonight," Alari said looking forward again. "Don't push it Alari," Larel said closing his hand into a fist. "I should-" "Look!" Kaori pointed towards the sky before a loud bang followed. Larel quickly turned forward as bright colors lit up the night sky exploding outwards and filling the area with continuous light as the colors lingered in the sky only to be followed by others. The flash of lights in the night sky drew Larel's full attention, he stared wide-eyed at the myriad of colors in front of him his mouth hung agape as the fireworks came one after the other. Alari smiled and glancing over noticed the look of pure astonishment on Larel's face, it was the first time Larel had ever seen them like this, Larel stunned face slowly turned into a wide smile causing Alari to chuckle. "It's all worth it just to see you that happy," Alari said looking back towards the sky. "No matter how many times I see it they're always wonderful." Kaori watched with almost childlike innocence waving his hands as the fireworks continued to fill the night sky, Jin popped out of Alari's kimono and stood on his shoulder yipping at the fireworks. Alari slowly reached over and took Mera's hand in his own keeping his attention on the fireworks, a small blush formed on his cheeks as a small smile formed on his face. "I had a plan b," Alari said looking over at Mera smiling a little. "Just kidding." Alari looked back at the fireworks as Larel gaze was trapped on the display in front of him, a look of pure astonishment on his face.
