@TheDrunkTank; Of course not. You don't need to provide a reason why you don;t have a mutation, it'll be fine. I did it with my character just for my own personal clarity!

@ONL: Haha. :P Well with minor mutations like that I'd say it would be fairly common for people to end up with similar mutations. When we look at Charlie's bug arm though, not only is that a Major mutation it could also be classed as random. So it's nigh impossible we'll see a mutation of that sort (as in the same arm) on someone else. You see what I'm getting at? As an added note; yes. Night vision is pretty awesome.
