She always wanted to learn more about the creatures and get close to them, much to the concern of her parents. She almost seemed to sympathize with even the more dangerous species, seeing them moreso as fascinating creatures rather than terrifying beasts. Her parents blamed the farm they lived next to, which was once lucky enough to own a Grazer which they used as a work animal. Maya often visited the farm when she was little, fascinated by the beast. The creature was already old by the time she was born, though, so it died by the time she was about six, but it gave her a love for Draconides that stayed with her as she grew up. Once, she even found a Tower hatchling all by its lonesome, with which she quickly decided to bring home and take care of it if it didn’t have any parents. Of course, she knew her parents wouldn’t approve, so she had to hide her new pet, sneaking it table scraps when she could. Unfortunately for her, though, her parents caught on within a few days, and forced her to release it back into the wild. Since then, her parents had been as concerned as ever, but that never doused her love and curiosity for Draconides. As she grew into a teenager and then a young adult, she made fewer dumb mistakes that brought attention and concern to herself, but she still never lost her fascination for the things. Even today, she still dreams of getting another chance to get really close to one, or perhaps even own one of her very own. Other: N/A
