Name: Samantha "Sammy" Paquin Alias: Ghost Age: 21 Gender: Female Personality: Samantha is a happy go lucky individual, with an almost cartoonish optimistic streak. In large part this is due to naivety, she holds a foolish belief that at their core every single person is good. Of course her naivety doesn't stop there, she will believe just about anything, as long as she wants it to be true, whether it is a super-villain saying they will change their ways, or an ex-boyfriend telling her he still loves her. That said, Samantha's naivety has however been taken advantage of many times as you might expect. This has led to her being rather shy around most people she doesn't know, and often dismissing anything they say. Persona: While she is shy as Sam, once in costume it is quite the opposite, she is still an optimist for the ages, and quite naive, but once she has the cape on, the shyness is gone. She will talk complete stranger's ears off about the most minute of details, offering her undivided attention to them as well. After all, who would lie to a superhero? As you might expect from someone who thinks everyone is inherently good, she also doesn't like to hurt her enemies, and would likely die before she took a life. Appearance:

Standing at just 5'0" with the build of a fourteen year old figure skater, Samantha is probably one of the least intimidating figures you'll ever meet. Her hair generally stays slightly unkempt, keeping a fairly fluffy look. Additionally, from her early heroing days, Samantha has a scar running down her right arm nearly to her elbow, three roughly half-foot scars on her right side, and a gunshot wound on her left calf, she has many other small scars on various parts of her body. She keeps all of these covered up. Costume:

Ghost went for a very traditional costume, a one piece suit that doesn't leave much to the imagination, even going so far as to have a Powergirl-esque cleavage hole, it briefly reconnects before giving an observer an unobstructed view of her abdomen as well. Not exactly designed for protection. Still, that is only one part of the costume, she has a small semi-cape hanging from her right shoulder, a set of custom built goggles that allow her to see in low-light, spiked arm pads, because they look cool, gloves because they look equally cool, and cover her scar, and of course high heeled thigh high boots. They're not exactly practical, but given her size she thought them a necessity, and it's not like fighting armed crooks and supervillains is practical either. Probably most important is her belt which has three small vials on it filled with ectoplasmic mist, which she uses as her main weapons. Powers/Skills and how they came about: Samantha was a pretty normal teenager, or so she thought. She was a sophomore in high school when it happened. She was at a gymnastics competition, She was doing the uneven bars, her forte, unfortunately they weren't that day. her grip slipped, and she fell head first, almost immediately breaking her neck. Such an injury would kill most people, and she was no exception. However rather than heaven, hell, or just pure nothingness, she looked down and saw the gymnasium, and her own lifeless body. Without taking the time to question her state or even think she immediately propelled herself back into her body. As she came back to the world of the living she felt the horrifying agony of an injury she shouldn't be living through. One neck brace, six months, and many surprised doctors later however she was back up and about. Since then, her abilities have increased immensely. She has discovered she has the ability to control ectoplasmic mists. this can be applied in a number of ways, the most obvious of which is possession. She is capable of possessing objects, and even living things, though the stronger their will, the less control she can exert, and with most humans she can merely slow them down or control a single body part. She is also able to levitate, as of yet, she can't justify calling it 'flight' but she is getting better at it. Probably the most significant ability of all for her is her ability to take leave her own body as ectoplasmic mist. When doing so she is capable of exerting a significantly greater level of control on those she possesses. However, when she does this ,she leaves her anchor to the material world, her body, defenseless. if it is destroyed, or she leaves it vacant for too long it will begin to die, and she will begin to fade. While she has also been practicing this ability so far the longest she has been able to achieve without suffering ill-effects was five minutes. Samantha is also fairly fit, and the majority of her heroing is done with physically blows she delivers on impaired foes. Being a collegiate gymnast, and a damn good one, she has exceptional agility, almost superhuman reflexes, and strength that betrays her size. Beyond her knowledge, she also has the ability to summon, and even control apparitions of her own design. Rise to Fame: After discovering her abilities, Sam had a bit of a personal crisis, she wondered if she was really alive, was she even a person anymore? She spent months of introverted pondering lost many friends, and got put on many anti-depressants during this time. That was until she decided to confide in a friend after he pretty much wouldn't stop asking her what was wrong. When she revealed her powers to him he was enamored, and in a off handed joke mentioned that she could be a super heroine. What had likely been intended as nothing but a mere joke though stuck with her. She began thinking of what kind of costume she could wear and once she had one in mind began ordering the pieces from various internet retailers. She was only seventeen when she had finally put her costume together. At the time it had a regular mask instead of goggles, similar boots, but a much less revealing one piece, and no gloves, cape or spikes. Her first few attempts were on small time crooks, purse snatchers, and muggers. While she was successful, she quickly learned that utilizing her own inherent ectoplasmic material whilst fighting was not an easy task. Every victory left her with more bruises, some worse. Still she was undeterred by this, her natural optimism had come back, and she set out to find something to aid her. After meeting with many local 'mystics' and 'magicians' she did eventually find actual ectoplasm, that she could manipulate. Shortly after she designed a belt to hold her new assets. Armed with this she set out once more, meeting with significantly more success. Eventually though muggers, and small-time crooks seemed like a waste, Then though her opportunity came, a bank robbery in progress, The robbers had the place locked down tight, armed guards at every entrance, and bombs on all of their hostages. After a three hour standoff, and two hours of begging the police to let her try and resolve it, she eventually just decided to do it with or without their permission. Within a half hour she found herself on the building's roof, police snipers trained on her now as well. As she approached the door she left her body, and worked her way through the door handle, on the other side was a guard in a presidential mask, carrying an M4. Samantha knew that if she could mess with the firing pin, he'd be essentially unarmed, unfortunately she did not know what that was, so instead just clicked on the safety. As she floated back out she unlocked the door. Back in her body, one deep breath later she quickly opened the door, and after hearing the satisfying click of a gun doing nothing quickly subdued her opponent, knocking him unconscious. After moving into the vents she quickly repeated this process turning on the safety on all of the assailant's guns, and picking off the ones she could that weren't in the main room. Eventually there was only three left, after scouting the room from outside her body she formulated a plan. Quickly she dropped from the vents, immediately she grabbed the detonator from who she assumed was the leader, and incapacitated another with a chair that flew across the room the clicking of the guns bought her enough time to take out another. It took her less than a second to be in the face of the leader, and line up a kick directly on his temple. Sadly though he had managed to turn off the safety first, and managed to fire into her calf before her boot sent him to sleep. Slumping in pain and though she denies it when she tells the story, screaming briefly as well, within moments the police stormed the building. But to their surprise they found her there on the ground, surrounded by hostages, and unconscious robbers, putting on the most labored smile ever seen. She of course made headlines with this, and even managed to have the public opinion in her favor so much that the police dropped the charges against her. Arch-Nemesis: Lorenzo Francetti A Mob boss whom unluckily seems to always be on the losing end of Ghost's vigilantism. She doesn't actually know who he is since he works behind the scenes, but he despises her with a great passion. To the point he has made it a point of ending her. Character Arc: Eventually she will have to learn that some people are bad. whether it be through being manipulated into doing the bidding of an evil force, or seeing atrocities that are just incomprehensible to her. It will mentally break her.
