Mimic was quick to react, and his wings shot open which brought him to a sudden halt. Freakishly, Mimic was still upside-down as he shot his laser vision in bursts at Ben, anticipating his evasive maneuvers. He thought back to his encounters with Spiderman, the agile man with incredible response times, and how he had to handle him. 

In fact, this whole fight could be over within a matter of seconds, but that was not the point of this session; it was to assess what the student could or could not do. A judgment based upon ability and capability, brawn and brain. So he fired shots of concussive laser at the boy, though in the slightest bit of malevolence hoping that he’d get hit.
