Name: Steven Rogers Codename: Captain America Quote:"I'm not really loyal to anything...except the american dream." Age: Technically around 95, but biologically in his prime. Appearance: like this, usually Abilities/Skills: Rogers has been exposed to Dr. Erskine's Super-Soldier Serum at the same time as his body was bathed in Vita-rays. This had the effect of permanently augmenting his body to the very peak of human potential. Thus Roger's strength, speed, agility, reflexes, durability, healing ability, senses and even mental capacities are at the very limits of what a human is capable of without necessarily being super-human. He is also an extremely skilled martial artist, acrobat, soldier and general military operator in both conventional and unconventional operations, having gained extensive military training and experience during World War II and further training from SHIELD upon his re-awakening in the present. His training and experience combined with his peak-human physiology make him more than capable of standing with and against super-humans. He is also a fairly talented artist. Equipment/Vehicles: Steve Rogers is trained to pilot and drive many different kinds of vehicles but prefers motorcycles Weapons: While he's been trained in the use of multiple weapons, Captain America's most notable and often only weapon is his mighty shield. Forged of an alloy of Vibranium, iron and an unknown compound, it is borderline indestructible and incredibly light. Rogers uses it to block projectiles and attacks at close range, but also as a weapon, both in melee combat and by throwing it, utilizing its' light weight and incredibly properties to achieve complex ricochet effects and accurate throws. Rogers' skills with the shield and its' incredible durability make it a very versatile and useful weapon. Rogers also often rides a SHIELD-modified Harley Davidson 750 equipped with hidden guns, missiles, and a rocket booster for limited boosts in speed. Sidekicks/Regular Teammates: Currently None, although he often works with and for S.H.I.E.L.D. and its' associated cast. Personality: In a sense Steve Rogers greatest power lies in his personality. He tries his best to embody the ideals he believes his country should stand for and fights to bring out the best in others and to try and make the world a better place. His heroic will is truly superhuman and his commitment to truth and justice is completely unwavering as is his desire to help other people. Besides those sort of core personality traits, Steve loves apple pie and catching up on all of the things he's missed out on since becoming a human Popsicle, although he sometimes feels lost and out of place in the modern world. Bio: Steve Rogers was a man who loved his country and doing the right thing about as much as he disliked bullies. So when America entered World War II, the incredibly physically frail Rogers kept trying to enlist, no matter how many times the military denied him because of his poor health. Desperate to help the soldiers fighting against fascism overseas, Steve joined an experimental program with creating super soldiers as its' ultimate goal. The weak and pathetic Steve Rogers was picked as the first test subject to best demonstrate the Super Soldier project's capabilities, and the combination of Dr.Erskine's Super Soldier Serum and Vita-Rays was a massive success, transforming Rogers from a physically weak kid from Brooklyn to a paragon of human fitness and ability. Unfortunately an Axis spy assassinated Dr. Erskine almost immediately afterward, before he could pass on the formula, so the secret to creating future Super Soldiers died with him. Now America's only available Super Soldier, Steve was given the best training the Allies could provide and deployed in the war as Captain America! He brought the fight to the Axis powers, especially the dangerous Nazi advanced sciences division known as Hydra. Captain America played a huge role in turning the tide of the war for the Allies while stopping numerous villainous schemes by the Axis powers, often with the help of his sidekick Bucky Barnes, and the rag-tag group of soldiers known as the Howlin' Commandos. Captain America battled Hydra and the rest of the Axis relentlessly regardless of the massive armies, bizarre occult powers or twisted miracles of super science they threw at him. but during his final battle with the field leader of Hydra's science division known as the Red Skull, Rogers fell into the sea while destroying a hi-tech long range stealth bomber headed for America, knocked unconscious by the resulting explosion as he sank into the depths of the arctic. He remained frozen there for decades until a SHIELD survey team found him and dug him out of the ice to defrost. Now he's returned to the world once again to fight for his ideals.
