Mera looked over hearing Eryn's badgering of Larel, about to tell him to leave Larel alone until he answered, "Does he realize he just admitted he thinks she's pretty?" she murmured quietly with a smirk, looking forward again whenever Alari admonished Kaori for insulting Hotaru, who looked like she was seconds from either roasting Kaori, or blushing from embarrassment because she too caught on that Larel had actually just called her pretty, or rather that he said she was prettier, which meant he thought she was pretty to start with. Her attention went to the sky when Kaori pointed and she smiled lightly seeing the fireworks, remembering something similar from when she was younger. She blinked a bit feeling Alari taking hold of her hand, but she smiled after a moment, hearing him, "I'm sure," she smirked lightly before looking back up at the sky, "I really am never going to dress this way again, just so we're clear on that," she added, not talking loud enough for Larel to hear, but loud enough Alari could hear her over the fireworks. She wasn't all the comfortable in gowns like these, as they weren't very durable in a fight and she was usually always prepared. But it did feel nice to feel... "girly" for a little while, to be complimented in a way that didn't feel odd for the most part, having her beauty appreciated again. It had been awhile since she had had such vain thoughts. Hotaru was watching them as well, smiling as she saw Larel's reaction to them. She liked getting to see this side of him, seeing him sort of open up a bit more and show who he was without Zenmaru talking in his ear. She was almost a little sad thinking it couldn't always be this way since she imagined she wouldn't stay down long. She was going to remember this night for as long as she was able, the first night in a long time she actually felt completely happy. Even with Eryn and Kaori calling her brutish, this was still a great night and not just because she heard Larel compliment her. It wasn't a night of running or hiding or trying to pretend that the world wasn't coming after them- though in a way hey were- it was just a night of enjoying themselves, "We'll have to make sure to do this again sometime," she smiled at Larel, nodding, "And next time I'm totally going to kick your butt at the vendor games," She pointed at him, making a challenge out it, but it was clearly she meant it in good fun. Mary came up to them, standing near Eryn as she beamed, looking up at the fireworks, "Oh wow!" she grinned, "That's so cool!" she clapped her hands together, bouncing a bit and Eryn chuckled at her. "I'm glad you got to enjoy yourself," he nodded, looking at the four in front of them, "We did what we could I suppose to put the cards in their favor." Mary looked at him then, though he wasn't looking at her, so he missed the look on her face. She was worried, scared, and there was something else in her expression, but another firework went off and she looked up at it before he would see it. She knew Eryn thought that the night have been worked towards the favor that he wanted, towards their happiness, but she wasn't entirely sure the goddess or whatever deity watched over them had given them that grace. She knew Thanos was hidden somewhere, still recovering from his wounds, Mera unable to aid him and be ready for their father with the cuffs on, and she knew they were still on from the fact Mera was still here- or had Alari talked her out of it? She hadn't seen her sister so relaxed and...smiling quite so much in a long time, so she knew Alari had done something to ease her mind, if only for a little while, and she appreciated that. She almost wanted to cry knowing she had actually enjoyed something like this, even if she didn't for the whole of it. She looked at Kaori and smiled, "Have you been enjoying yourself?" she asked him, crossing her arms behind her back.
