Jack steadily moved throughout the ship, waiting for a response to Sky's call. He wandered how big was the ship. The lack of Vitus still made no sense, something that bugged him. Jack assumed that if there were humans moving freely in the ship, they would be once again restrained and taken back to their confinement, these horrific tubes. So the only logical explanation he could come up with was that any human they would encounter would have some kind of ability that would help them go head to head with the Vitus, much like his own ability. "If the Vitus are responsible for this development, then this is a prime example of misusing a good hand...Who would have thought that we would be able to stand up to them, thanks to their own atrocities..." The thought made Jack smirk a little. Not that he liked being an experiment and having freaky powers, but if he could blast some Vitus with them then he could deal with it. His thoughts were interrupted by the faint smell of burning flesh. "Hey, I smell something-or someone-burning...Should we follow the smell?" he said to Sky.
