Personality: Bold and Cheerful. Gao is always looking for a good time he enjoys dueling and being around people. Most people find him a bit odd but he doesn't mind. With the deck he inherited from his mother he feels nearly invincible but he knows his deck has a slight weakness to it. In all of his duels he almost immediately became serious and focused solely on the duel thinking of almost every possible outcome and anyway he could win. While he loves being around people he truly prefers being around animals and will do anything he can to help an animal in need. Before receiving his deck Gao went through a darker period only caring about winning even hurting one of his friends in the process, that caused him to re-think everything he did until his mother gave him her deck.

Brief Bio: Gao started dueling at age 8 building his own deck gradually. His parents said he had a natural talent for it and eventually decided to help him work toward his goal of being one of the best in the world. One day while playing with his friends Gao became angered at his inability to beat his friends new deck and lashes out in anger striking his friendb in the chest. After that day Gao became less dark and more inverted thinking carefully about everything he said or did he even stopped playing Duel Monsters all together until his 12th birthday. On his 12th birthday his mother pulled him aside and handed him a deck. She told him that seeing her son unhappy made her unhappy herself and she wanted nothing more than for him to be happy. At first Gao was afraid to touch it but after she explained that it was the same deck she used as a little girl and contained some of her favorite monsters Gao took it and left to go appologize to the friend he had hurt. Gao has used that deck ever since even discovering his own spirit monster within that deck. He now duels to prove that you don't always need the newest cards to win as well as proving to himself that winning isn't everything and that he's only playing a game. 

Deck Type: Crystal Beasts: Able to become continuous spell cards upon their destruction allowing them to have immense staying power. Coupled with plenty of support cards that make up fr their lack in attack power.

Spirit Partner: Crystal Beast Ruby Carbuncle; Gao tends to call the monster Ruby because of the card name. He met her while dueling with the Crystal Beast deck that his mother gave him. She is perky and playful but has a tendency to be a coward.
