Name: Sarnella Tirane Appearance: Sarnella is about 5' 3". She has a small but sturdy build. She maintains military-passable physical fitness but ultimately appears undaunting without her biotics. She has eyes like bright ice and vibrant orchid skin. Her face is a mix of angular and non-angular, masculine and feminine. She has low round cheekbones and a straight-bridged nose. Her jaw is rounded and undefined. There is a thin strip of indigo tattooed on her face from her bottom lip to the base of her neck, where it fans out into two curved prongs that disappear somewhere below her collarbone. Race: Asari Age: 270 Biotic ability: Sarnella is a capable biotic. While her physique is less than imposing, a flare of her biotics can cause her enemies to second-guess their aggression. She has received the regular biotic instruction all asari receive in addition to military training. She relies heavily on her biotic capabilities to get herself out of a pinch. However, she does not find herself in actual combat that often and therefore would not consider herself a strong biotic warrior. She has just enough skill to be useful but not enough to be considered a master. Biography:
Sarnella grew up on Thessia with her parents. Her mother is an asari and her father is a human male. Her interracial family decided to stay in Thessia because of its economy, healthcare, and peacefulness, all of which were superior to Earth's. However, all their time off was spent on Earth, which grew to become Sarnella's second home. She was a bit of an anomaly on the human homeworld, but that didn't keep her from growing close to her human family and friends. Sarnella was a dedicated and talented academic with a passion for learning. She attended various educational institutes and programs throughout her lifetime. Her education brought her around Thessia, to Earth, and even to the Citadel. Her galaxy-spanning schooling was a part of a prestigious program. Getting accepted into the program was a challenge, but paying for it was equally as difficult. The military offered to pay her way through in exchange for a certain amount of years of service upon completion of her education. The deal was appealing to Sarnella. Having been raised by her father, who was an Alliance retiree and a human with a profound respect for Asari culture and Thessian life, Sarnella had a strong sense of civic duty and pride for her homeworld. She accepted the contract and ended up staying with the military longer than she needed. She served a total of twelve years, during which time she proved to be a useful asset to any project. While her combat capabilities were nothing special, her ability to manage, oversee, and sift through information while communicating clearly and effectively with others set her apart. She did not want to be a military "lifer," though. She wanted to have freedom, ease, and to sate her exploratory desires. Additionally, she wanted some separation from the urgency and severity of military work, though she did love the fierce dedication it demanded of her. She resigned amicably and spent the next three years living in a much laxer fashion. She found that she missed the purpose and even the intensity of her old job. When the Reapers took Earth, Sarnella was working as a software engineer on the Citadel. She expressed interest in Project Unity and was quickly signed on as a volunteer, running Intelligence and Communications.
Personality: When she is working, Sarnella can be very phlegmatic and straightforward. She takes pride in her work and invests herself in it one hundred percent. This is part of the reason why she finds it difficult to "shut off." This is the reason why many people may think she is high-strung or too intense. She loves to work (she's a self-proclaimed workaholic) because of the sense of purpose it provides for her. This has interfered with many of her past relationships. She is contemplative, thoughtful, and very much enjoys meaningful conversations as opposed to impersonal pleasantries. She also has a knack for calming people down, which comes in handy as someone who has to communicate with people in high-stress situations. Position: Communications & Intelligence Specialist-- Sarnella manages the comm links and information feeds. During a mission, she makes sure all the crew deployed have a strong signal back to the ship. She patches them in with anyone she needs to communicate with. She also sifts through various communications channels (and may have to finagle her way into some) to gather as much information on the situation as she can. Being an Intelligence Specialist goes hand-in-hand with this. She gathers, manages, and organizes information to give all members of the crew as much of an advantage as she can. Sarnella's job is critical for the survival and success of the specialists on the ground.
