"As far as everyone is concerned," Casimir began, "Your lackeys, and especially you, are nothing more than Slytherins bound to worsen the reputation of our house. I may do what I do, even give some people a few dangerous suspicions, but at least what I do is turned against people who actually deserve it. You on the other hand, you misuse your methods simply for entertainment. I may have helped you in the past, even congratulated you, but you're beginning to overstep your boundaries as you devolve into nothing more than another cheat."

Casimir had to admit that his response would probably do nothing to faze Acacia. Depsite being older than her, Acacia had a bit more skill with scathing or manipulative words than he did, probably as a result of her frequent use of such things. He looked over to the auror she had pointed out. It could be that he was from the Ministry of Magic, or maybe he was simply a new teacher here. Either way, he didn't care much one way or the other. Casimir was however, a little concerned about being accused of practicing the Dark Arts. It honestly wouldn't take much to do so, and knowing Acacia, she probably could pull such a thing off if she wanted to. But still, did it truly matter to him? He was actually going to start studying such an Art in secret with Artemis, and by technicality the Dark Arts weren't necessarily punishable by law, except in some cases.

"Now then," Casimir started again as he took a glance at Willow, "So long as you don't continue to prey on and use Willow, and anyone like her for that matter, you'll hear nothing from me. If you continue to do so, however, and end up hurting her in any way... I guess you can say you'll have a nice, solid reason to accuse me of dark magical practice after I show you why my spells have often been the subject of concern for some of the teachers here."

Casimir looked to Acacia, then to her lackeys, and then to anyone else who was either listening in or had been poking fun at Willow earlier. He smiled before sitting down, not wishing to continue on the argument with the girl. He hoped he didn't give off any... interesting vibes there. He didn't need his whole house thinking he had an interest in Willow. He was simply concerned for her, especially since he had already seen first hand just how unstable she could be, and before heard countless hurtful things said about her. Now she had Acacia on her back, planning to do God knows what by gaining her trust and using her. When was this damned feast going to start? He needed to get his mind off this stuff.

Isaak was surprised by her ability to smell the feast, it took him a few more second before the smell of the food came to his nose. at first he was a little nervous to be entering the Great Hall with Verlin because of how she dressed, but he was a loyal friend and he considered the girl his friend so he would have to get over the possibility of people making jokes about them. he followed her into the wondrous gathering with the candles floating close to the ceiling which was enchanted to look like the starry night sky. he had Perun held in his arms and he took a seat beside Verlin at the Slytherin table, he then let his pet sit on the floor between his feet.. he then heard Acacia talk to their fellow Slytherins about the inccident where Willow fainted and he heard them laugh at the story. this made him clench his hands into fists in anger. did she have no true sense of kindness? he was almost tempted to say something very rude to the fourth year, but he stopped himself.

he just said to Verlin in an angry voice, "can you believe her? there's nothing funny about Willow fainting. she deserves to drink a wart festering potion."

he saw the heated words going back and forth between Acacia and Casimir. it kind of amused him that the seventh year was sticking up for a shy Gryffindor since he had a bad reputation of hurting people with hexes and having a slight obsession with getting revenge.

"You should be careful around Casimir, he has a bad reputation for practicing dark magic, he could be dangerous and we might want to be on the look out for him in case he ties anything" he told Verlin. he then heard Casimir give his threat to Acacia about showing her why he had a reputation for using dark magic. this made him even more annoyed, here they were at the start of the school already threatening each other.

"they are both making our house look bad. I had hoped that since Voldemort was dead that our house would lose its reputation for having students who were ether very cruel and manipulative, or practitioners of the dark arts" Isaak told his Verlin. he had a bad feeling that the both Acacia and Casimir would cause trouble this year. he now felt inclined to keep an eye on both of them in case they tried to commit any acts of cruelty this school year.

Acacia simply rolled her eyes. Why must everyone assume she's doing something bad? Oh sure, Willow would be her fall guy if the need called for it, but she doubted that would ever happen. After her first and second year, she managed to get away with things without the need for such people. She had one in reserve just in case, but she had gotten pretty good at covering her tracks. She gave Casimir a smile as she continued.

"I will continue to do what I want to, understand? You have no power over me, Casimir. You have no power over anyone in this house."As she spoke, her voice did not seem hurried, angry, or agitated, but simply calm. Despite its calmness however, it definitely carried a weight behind it. A commanding presence, despite its softness. "You simply assume I mean Willow harm from my past actions. In reality, all I wish to do is be her friend. I have no intentions of hurting her. Besides, the girl could use a strong figure to look up to. Casimir, you and I have been allies in the past, and I would hate to have a clever boy such as yourself as an enemy. Do not get in my way, or else there will be consequences." And with that, she was done speaking about this matter.

It was true. She had no real plans to do her harm. She liked to think she was helping the girl get out of her shell. Of course, she would use Willow to her advantage if she had need of it. But she had marked Willow as one of her people. Though she didn't think of them as friends, or anything other than tools. She hated when someone broke or messed with her tools. As long as Willow had value as an asset, she would see to it she was safe. Which was why, she was about to make a rather, shocking command that most Slytherins would not like. After a brief moment of silence and letting the other Slytherins converse among themselves, she decided it was time.

"Alright, everyone listen up." She said, and the group of Slytherins around her immediately became quiet and focused their attention on Acacia. "From this day forward, Willow Matthews is my friend, and a friend of the Slytherin house. Anyone, and I mean anyone who dares so much as mock her, will answer to me directly." As she finished, the other Slytherins stared at her, mouth somewhat agape, the entire section of students around her falling into silence. "Is there a problem, people?" She asked in an all too friendly voice.

N-no! just...the klutz, really?" One student said.

"She's my friend. If you don't like it, deal with it. And I'll let that one insult by, just this once." She nonchalantly replied. Soon, the group of students around her had passed the message quickly to the other Slytherin students, small murmurs of discontent were evident, but not one decided to challenge her authority, at least, not here. Now, all she wanted was for the feast to begin.

Casimir gritted his teeth at Acacia's last words. He hated it when his opponents had the last laugh, particularly with a threat. That typically emboldened others who had observed such a thing to try their hand against him, making Casimir feel the need of going through his whole little cycle of fear momgering yet again. Unlike Acacia, he didn't hold so much sway over many with just his words. He needed to enforce them, which is why he focused on exploiting the fear of others and make an example of them. That usually kept heat from other potential nuisciances off his back, and ensured that they would not openly divert their mocking eyes to others instead. At least while Casimir was around.
The Slytherin usually did such things because of his parents and family. It wasn't that they specifically goaded him to do such things, but they were very harsh when it came to the respect others had for Casimir. If they found out he simply allowed offenses against himself to go unpunished, he'd get a pretty harsh tongue lashing from them. Naturally though, he was now much too old to really be afraid of such things, but the conditioning still managed to work its magic. Either way, Casimir always felt the innate drive to cause fear in order to establish himself as a respected individual. Now, the whole using fear to protect potential victims was a different story, but Casimir currently didn't feel like thinking through that again.
He looked to the other Slytherins in his table, all of which either averted their gaze from his or simply were off having their own conversations. Ok, well at least none were daring to poke fun at him for what Acacia had ended with. It was true he had been an ally to her in the past, but truth was, he was beginning to hate the girl. More out of envy than anything else, her skill with words was quite astounding he had to admit. Casimir was forced to bite his tongue in secret to keep his expression from changing as Acacia began to talk about how Willow was her friend and was to be left alone, but soon he simply focused on the ceiling above to observe the floating candles amd starry sky. Perhaps he really did have no true reason to be suspicious of her, but at the moment that was not his concern.

Raymond smiled as he watched Sam walk away and sit down with her friends. He looked around, seeing familiar faces. The tables were all gossiping, or talking, or giving hugs or singing with each other. Raymond was then caught off guard when he felt someone jump on to his back. "Ray!" A voice said with a laugh. A fifth year Gryffindor student jumped off Raymond's back. He had jet black hair that was styled in to a fauxhawk. He wore his red and gold tie loosely, his shirt untucked, and his sleeves rolled up. He had a huge grin on his face.

"Edgar Henson. The legend." Raymond said with a smile. "I must have missed you on the train!" Edgar said.

Raymond and Edgar have known each other since their first year, obviously. They were both dreaming to be on the Gryffindor Quidditch team, and since it was highly unlikely that they would make it their first year, they started practicing on their own time. They usually snuck out to get food from the kitchen for the Gryffindor kids late at night (Thanks to a hidden book written by a F and G Weasely), and quizzed each other on spells when everyone else in the castle fell asleep.

They both sat down at a table with a few other boys from Gryffidnor, all room mates. They started talking about their summer, laughing at stories, and singing along to an old wizard song they learned. Finally though, the first year students made their way in to the dining hall, completely awestruck as they saw the ceiling and plates of food. Raymond smiled at their expressions. Some of the tables started pointing and guessing who would join what house. Now all they had to do was wait for the Heads of each house, and the headmaster with the sorting hat then the ceremony, then feast, will begin!

Ester saw the ferret under the table and went over to him, and close pawed batted him gently, and playfully. "I know it is rotten what she's saying. I'm sure Willow thought Acacia was her friend." She shrugged, "but as much as it pains me to say it the best course of action right now is letting it go and bidding our time." She clicked her tongue on the roof of her mouth thinking about the Acacia girl, but as she thought about her more drama seemed to be rising from the Slytherin table. She heard the Acacia had proclaimed Willow to be her friend. She raised her eyebrow at this 'One minute you're picking on her and the next you're her friend. I don't get it.' Verlin thought to herself. Despite herself she was becoming interested in Acacia's game.

"Besides it's not the manipulation I have a problem with. We all do it to one means or another." She looked to Willow sitting at her table, and wondered what it was about the girl that had caught her interest. If she were honest with herself, she had a twinge of the manipulation gene. The only difference is she was friendly so she used it in the service of people. She noticed being friendly made people more likely to do things for you. She believed in the whole catching more flies with honey. She contemplated for a minute how people were truly more like the animal she favored than she gave them credit for.

She then thought about Casimir. She wouldn't seek him out for a friend persay, but to her understanding if you left him alone he would leave you alone. "I'll reserve judgement on Casimir. It might be better not to make an enemy of him." 'Oh what a tangled web being a Slytherin is.' She thought to herself. When she put the hat on her head it gave her two odd choices. She could have been a Hufflepuff if she wanted. She did have the right amount of dreamy qualities, and she was creative, but she liked the house with a bit more pride. She accidently said grumbling under her breath "Sometimes I wish I had just been a Puff." As she saw Casimir's frustration at Acacia. She thought to herself 'Yep wish I had let the hat put me in Hufflepuff.' She decided to preserve her own skin for today though, and decided to just stay out of both Acacia's and Casimir's way for now. She could see the allegiances she made this school year would be important.

She looks around her and sees some old classmates, she tries to talk to them but she was just being ignored. The student next to her a 4th year opened his mouth to her ''Shut up kid'' Elina looks up to him. the boy was slightly taller and seemed really angry. She quickly looked at the ground ''I-I-Im sorry. Scared to move even a muscle she sits there almost crying out of fear but she tries to stay strong, as the first years entered the hall.

Isaak reluctantly nodded in agreement, he wanted to keep a hard eye on Acacia, but Verlin was right, it would be best to not make very many enemies this year. "I guess you're right, we will just have to wait and see if those two try anything that hurts people."

although he was annoyed by the way some of the Slytherins were acting, he still never once had any regret with being sorted into the house. his family had been in Slytherin for many generations and he wanted to be in no other house besides this one. he hoped that all this wasn't making Verlin regret being in Slytherin, and wishing that she had been put in another house.

"Not all Slytherins are like them, they just attract a lot of attention with their arrogant show of power. we should try to make friends with students from the other houses, if we do that then we can at least not have to worry about Acacia doing anything right away. also it will show the other students that Slytherins can be genuinely nice and good people" Isaak told her with a calm voice. beneath the table, Perun played along with Ester by lightly prodding her shoulder with his paw, and giving her playful nips, which were how ferrets acted playful.

Noticing the commotion at the Slytherin table, Willow hesitantly turned around to see what was going on. That boy from earlier on the train, the one who scared her, was wrapped in a heated conversation with Acacia. What about, she had no idea since they were so far away and the noise level in the room was increasing. Afterwards, Acacia said something to her Slytherin friends, and even from Willow's seat she could tell they were shocked. What could've gone on over there? Of course, it wasn't any of her business... Willow gave Acacia a small smile in greeting before turning back around to face her own table.

As the first years walked into the room, Willow giggled softly at most of them, they were practically shaking in their robes! She remembered when she was a first year. She'd never been in a building so big! And there were so many people! She was horribly nervous, sweating everywhere, wondering what house they'd put her in... Her family didn't really have a tradition when it came to Houses, they were pretty random. Her mom was Gryffindor while her father was a Slytherin and before that her grandparents were both hufflepuffs.

When the hat was placed on her head, she thought for sure that she'd be sorted into Hufflepuff, expected it. So she was surprised when the hat called out Gryffindor so quickly, she froze to the seat confused for a moment before being pushed over to the Gryffindor table.

Willow smiled at the memory, coming back to reality and focusing on the newcomers, wondering which one of them would join her house.

"You didn't."

"I did! Oh my god, he screamed so loud. You should've seen the look on his face!" A blonde sixth year named Leonard -- one of Gus's closest friends, recounted the incident to him between fits of laughter.

"Lenny, you're a genius." Gus couldn't help but laugh with him. The story wasn't particularly funny, but the way his friend told it with exaggerated hand movements and silly voices was absolutely hilarious. While Leonard was doubled over in laughter, however, Gus caught a brief glimpse of the girl he had met on the train just earlier that day. Her name was Elina, wasn't it? Surprisingly, she looked more than a little miserable; which was something Gus found quite strange. Most students couldn't wait to get back to school, and yet there she was, sitting by herself and sulking. And if he saw correctly, she seemed to be on the verge of tears, as well. Well, that settled it. This wasn't going to stand. Gus was no prefect, but he wasn't going to just sit around when someone was upset.

Excusing himself from his group of friends for the moment, Gus began to make his way over to the girl. Seeing that she currently had her back turned to him, he contemplated calling out to her to get her attention, but ultimately decided against it. It'd be pretty hard to project his voice over the chattering of everyone in the Great Hall, and he didn't want to startle the girl. To be honest, she seemed like the jumpy sort. When he finally reached Elina, he lightly tapped her on the shoulder.

"Hey. Elina, right?" Gus said, a small smile on his face. The first and foremost priority was checking if he actually got her name right, only after that could he move on to what he came over for in the first place. Once the introductions were over and done with, his expression changed into one of mild concern. "I just saw you from where I was sitting and you looked a little upset. So I was just wondering if you were okay."

Once Roy and Erasmus sat down and Frankie threw her hands up at Roy’s agreement. “THANK YOU!” She stressed loudly before calming down and turning around to talk to the duo.
“So how was your summer? Any hot girls make the mistake of kissing you?” Frankie joked, making a mocking kissy face. "I'm not entirely interested, but I thought I would ask out of politeness and because it's usually expected of me. Try to keep it short, Ro-Ro."

Frankie moved her hands absentmindedly across the table, wishing there was food present as her stomach felt like a hollow cavern. All she had for the past couple of hours was a chocolate bar; in hindsight, she probably shouldn't have given the extra to Fall or Augustus, whatever. She preferred her nickname more so, she always did. Nicknames with her were practically mandatory! Erasmus was Mussy, it had a nice sound when it rolled off her tongue, and Roy was Ro-Ro, simply because his name was so short, the only way to make a nickname was to double it up.

"What about you, Mussy? How was your summer?" She asked though she hoped he wouldn't get flustered like he usually did around girls. That always made her feel awkward and she'd say things that she probably shouldn't have...the countless times she whispered the dirtiest and most perverted thing she could think of into his ears to see if he would feel any more awkward.

It was almost a sign sent from Heaven when the first years came in. She was so empty in the stomach, she was afraid she would collapse into herself and become a walking line for the rest of her life. A line! She wouldn't be able to carry things or see very well. It would be a disaster.

She feels a light tap on her back "Hey. Elina, right?" Wiping her eyes to make sure she wouldn't cry and looks at the boy behind her. It was the boy from year 6 Augustus. "uu... Yea Elina, what is it don't you need to sit with your friends? did I accidently put anything from you in my bag, is that it?" She said with a bit of a sobbing voice, Gus suddenly asked "I just saw you from where I was sitting and you looked a little upset. So I was just wondering if you were okay." his expresion changed, he was concerned about her. This made her atleast a bit happy. Elinas mind became a bit hazzy, she stepped of the seat and almost fell down to the gound, Her legs became weaker. She tried to get up to face gus but couldn't keep standing upright, "No no really no... Can you help me get to a quiet place" she said while beginning to lean a bit against Augustus. Every muscle in her tiny body became to get weaker knowing that she will fall asleep any moment.

Grace/ Hufflepuff table Elina & Gus

Grace being vigilant for any of the younger members of her house needing her help sees Elina in distress and is quickly on the move.

All eyes at the Hufflepuff table follow her as she practically runs to where Gus has caught the fainting girl.

As she passes Julian Smithers she says "Fetch Madame Pomfrey quickly, tell her it's Elina in the entry hall"
She knows the Hufflepuff boy is quick on his feet and good at following directions without question so she gives him no more thought.

"Gus can you carry her outside to the bench in the hall?" asks Grace as she sweeps any articles that she sees that might be Elina's into the pockets of her robes

Finch began relaxing deeper when suddenly something caught his eye. There was some sort of argument brewing at the Slytherin table between a young girl and boy, "Probably just a couple fighting. "
He thought to himself until the girl made a subtle motion indicating himself. Now this had him intrigued, but It could wait he had noticed the girl from the carriage... Elina was slumping over in a boy's arms obviously about to pass out.
The tall Auror sat forward in his chair his gaze returned to the boy and girl once again staring at them each for a few moments.

"Can you help me get to a quiet place?" There was a pause and the only warning Gus got was the girl's head drooping before her knees buckled. He reacted immediately, stooping down and looped an arm around Elina's shoulders to keep her upright. Shit. Now what was he going to do? The Sorting Ceremony was bound to begin soon, but what kind of guy would he be to abandon someone in their time of need? But he didn't even know what was affecting the girl. Was it something serious or just a simple fainting spell? Well, whatever it was -- he was going to get her some help.

Right as he was about to sweep Elina into a bridal carry, Grace ran over. Listening to the quick instructions he was given, he simply nodded in reply. He had been just about to do that, anyway. He shifted Elina a little in her seat so that he could actually carry her properly. Tucking one arm under her knees while the other supported her back, Gus easily lifted her up. Even without his training as a Beater in Quidditch, the girl was as light as a feather. Suddenly, he felt as if he was being watched. Inclining his head ever so slightly, he noticed a rather tall-looking man staring at him and Elina. He shook his head a little, momentarily ignoring the man and quickly maneuvered through the throngs of students still milling about, before bringing her out to the entrance hall. Thankfully, most of the students had already in the Great Hall, and it only earned a few curious looks from the stragglers outside.

Gus spotted the benches by the huge double doors and made his way over to one, lightly setting Elina down so that she was lying on her back. Stepping back for a moment, he stuck his hands in his pockets and looked around. Was Madame Pomfrey going to get here soon? He hoped so. Right now, there wasn't really anything he could do other than worry.

Excitement is all over the room. All houses were happy to come back and finally get their studies on magic. Now, First years are gonna be a little nervous for their first day. God she remembers her first year....It was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G! She actually had all she wanted, all she wanted to be was a Gryffindor and as soon as she put the hat. 'Gryffindor!' It said. Samantha smiled with excitement and joy and walked to her Gryffindor table. And now she is in her fifth year in Hogwards, the years passed really fast but she had a blast on those years. She got to meet amazing friends and a amazing guy.

Samantha turned her head noticing the first years coming, she smiled turning back at Willow seeing her giggle. That was amazing! Willow actually giggeled and she was happy. Was she? "Youuu laugheeeed!~" she said pokimg Willow's shoulder. "Oh my god. Remember our first year? Well. I didnt know you much back then but throughout the year we became good friends and im so glad about that." She smiled at Willow, turning back to see the First Years being all nervous. Aww it was like if it was yesterday! She was one of them but now she is in her fifth year. She looked around then at Willow. "Im so hungry. Arent you? Hell." Samantha cleared her throat waiting for everything to start. Plus she wanted to go to her dorm and just lay down ! It has been a very tiredsom day for her and for the others! Samantha raised a leg ontop of the other, untying her ponytail, revealing her light-brown hair as it swayed and fell to her back. She ruffeled it a bit, seeing Willow looking at Acacia. "Sweetie. Are you okay? Question. You consider her as a friend?" She asked an eyebrow raised.

Finch rose slowly from his chair as Elaine was carried from the great hall, he didn't know what was going on but he intended to find out.
He set out at a stride, passing closely to the boy and girl at the Slytherin table, his limp all but forgotten as the aging Auror went through the huge doors and cast around for the young girl.

Students got up quickly, noticing the girl who just fell into a Hufflepuff's arms. It was a large commotion, making Willow uneasy. She turned to Samantha, "Um...I don't know..." Distracted by the scene occuring.

After getting a clear view of the girl, Willow recognized her as the one she helped on the train. She seemed nice, not getting too mad at her for the small explosion she caused. She watched in concern as she was carried off out of the Great Hall but it quickly turned to horror as she saw a crowd of students following them to get a peek at what's happening.

She would not have the girl fall into the same fate as she has. She doesn't deserve it! Quickly, she ran to the entrance, blocking the students.

"G-g-Get back! Give her s-s-s-some room!" Her voice shook, but she remained strong and determined.
