The shrill tone of the steam whistle echoed across Platform 9¾ as the magnificent crimson locomotive began to puff out of the station, hauling a rake of similarly carmine-coloured coaches behind it as it began its journey north.

As the [i]Hogwarts Express[/i] thundered through the countryside, the newest members of the student body within her coaches were trying to find a space to call their own within the compartments that ran the length of the train.
