"You weren't hiding with our things the whole time, were you, Mary?" Mera looked over at her sister, deciding to talk to her than taunt Alari about her dress. "No, I wasn't, I played with some little kids as well," Mary smiled brightly before they both turned their attention to Larel. Mera had to admit she was a little disappointed that the overall good mood was kinda killed with Zenmaru coming back in to the picture, but Mary held out her cloak, which she put on, regardless of Eryn's whining that she was going to kill him if she did, "Hotaru, would you like to go change?" she looked at her. "I would have liked to change yesterday," Hotaru said simply before starting with her back to Eryn's house where their clothes were and Mary handed Hotaru back her katana. "You're a traitor, little sister," he pouted "If I didn't give them to them, Hotaru would have forced you to give them back," Mary patted his arm before looking back to the others, "I guess I'll go back to keeping an eye out, I haven't sense any particular things within a mile or so of the village, but it's kind of been hard to pin point anything with all these people going around, the music, and such," she said, hoping she wasn't wrong. She turned and started to walk back towards the edge of the village where Thanros was, hoping she could use him in a way to stretch her view to see where their father currently was. She got down a side street and stopped as she looked around, getting some feeling that there was something close by. Mera and Hotaru were already almost to Eryn's when Mera stopped, getting that same feeling. "What is it?" Hotaru looked at her, looking around as she recognized that look on her face. That there was something dangerous close by, but she didn't see anything. "He's here," Mera murmured, looking around, a little but more panicky than before, grabbing Hotaru's arm and pulling her in to Eryn's house, "I didn't get the cuffs off, there's no way I'll stand a chance against him," she was trying to think of a solution to get him at least away from the village because even if they left, he would destroy this place to spite them, especially Eryn. "Then we need to leave," Hotaru said simply "We can't just leave, he's not one tracked minded unfortunately." "I'm insulted," they both froze at the voice that interrupted them and they turned to see the man sitting in the dark corner of Eryn's living room, "I don't think having a little dedication to my cause should be such a bad thing," he said as he stood up "And what cause is that?" Mera pulled Hotaru behind her, feeling the need to try and protect her from this man, this thing. "To rid the world of the lesser beings, of course. However, I think you're still a page behind, Scarlet," he walked forwards, standing in front of the fire, his shadow cast over the two, "You still believe that I'm your father, which is the rouse I would prefer the other idiot gypsies believe, but this bloodline I chose for a reason. You're still the purest line, the one with the most relation to your elven ancestors, that's why your powers are so much stronger than the others. I could resist such a grand host-" "What the hell are you going on about?" "Do you really not understand?" He mused before pulling out a container that looked a lot like the one on Hotaru's hip, "I sent one of my children ahead of me this evening and made sure that Hotaru got that particular flask on her now because your brother sacrificed himself to try and rid the world of one of my daughters, my favorite, if we're being honest. But no gypsy host would satisfy her when I offered, because she had taken a fancy to messing with a young vampires head," he said and Hotaru paled a bit, "Now all we have to do is wait for her to be able to travel back since her host has been prepped." "Sybil," Mera tried not to react, "You're saying... that you're Sybil's father... why did you chose my father as your host?" "Because he was weakened. A mortal wound delivered from a human who thought he was an enemy, like his brothers who want to rid the world of the humans. It was so easy to get inside at that point. And then I just had to mold the clay that he had spawned," He chuckled darkly and Mera grit her teeth. She grabbed Hotaru's arm and pulled her out of the house, running down the street quickly. "Where are we going?" Hotaru managed to swallow and ask as she looked over their shoulder, "What about Larel and the others?" "We have to get you somewhere secure before that bitch gets back in your head. The others shouldn't be their target if they don't know what was going on tonight," Mera murmured the last part, hoping that none of that things' spawn had seen
