Nessa held her Vulpix tightly against her chest, almost able to feel the mythical flame that was said to live in them. She was sitting down on a small boat that was bringing her to Pallet Town, the place where she wanted to start her journey. She was not sure what brought her to this small town exactly, but she knew she needed to start her journey here. 

Once the boat was docked, she shakily walked off and onto dry land. Wisp quickly jumped out of her arms to stand on solid ground once more. It had been a long trip for the both of them and it was nice to know they wouldn't be on a boat again for a while. Nessa pushed back a strand of her long black hair out of her face and fixed her teal bow that kept her bangs out of her face. 

Already feeling rested enough from the long boat ride, Nessa decided to press on past Pallet town to get to Viridian City where they would spend the night. Wisp stayed close enough to Nessa, feeling a bit uneasy in the new surroundings and being around lots of new people. "It's alright. Wisp, we'll be alright as long as we're together." Nessa said to reassure her partner. The Vulpix let out a happy sounding yip and nudged her leg gently to show she agreed with that her trainer said. 

They both stopped just at the edge of town, where the long grass started and where their journey would really begin. With a deep breath, Nessa took a few steps forward followed closely by her partner, the both of them looking excited and nervous as they began to press on through the first part of their journey.
