Red packed away the remaining food back into her basket, seeing as no one else seemed interested. She listened to the discussion quietly soaking in the experience of the others. She ignored Jack’s chiding words. She wasn’t afraid of witches. The only thing she truly feared was something he would do well to fear also. But he didn’t know. The only one here who did was Mme Ellie. Still his plan was sound, and Ellie seemed to approve. Should it be a few stupid girls playing with fire they would give them a scare and a spanking and send them on their way. If it was something more sinister, well Red knew what to do. Her duty to the Guild assured her compliance, not that she would take much prodding. If there were dark forces at work she would stand against them. As the train pulled into the station she stood, shook out her skirts, pulled the voluminous hood of her cloak over her head, and picked up her basket. Beneath the hood her blue eyes shimmered in the dim light, and just a hint of teeth.
