Name: Lind TaylorAlias/Nick-name: Chakram casterAge: 16Race: HumanGender: MaleAffinity: MagicTitles/Occupations: AssassinEquipments: 1. A pouch full of manuim crystal.2. Hooded cloak. He uses it to hide his identity.4.Long knife.Abilities/Skills: Lind's main element is electricity, which means he can convert his mana into electricity, as well as he can absorb electricity to restore his mana. Using his element he can move fast and silently, teleporting from place to place, although has limitations in distance, making him kill his foe easier and silently with a knife and escape from danger easily. Lind is an excellent chakram user, using his ability he can create a string or chain of electricity to bond his hand and the chakram, making it function like a yoyo.Bio: I'll finish it later, my brain is still empty -.-Other: After consumption of manium crystal, Lind's electricity changes it's color into red and becomes stronger.

This is what I would like to discuss more on. Or expand on this topic.

hermijouji said Using his element he can move fast and silently, teleporting from place to place,

Teleporting from one place to another is kind tricky in a roleplay environment on the factor of being fair. Also the amount of stamina to do this teleportation would be incredibly high even with mastery. Also the movements wouldn't be teleportation, merely moving so fast from point a to b that it seems like you disappear momentarily. Due to peoples eyesight not being fast enough to comprehend it.

The only way I would allow a teleportation type attack, is if it is in straight lines and cannot have things blocking the path. So it would just be a straight shot of moving super fast, the stamina/mana would be terribly costly for the ability as well.

Reminder: It is incredibly rare that someone can indulge in manium crystals and maintain their self. The more someone boosts with Manium Crystals the more they forget their true identity. Only seeking to obtain more power and more manium the higher amounts they consume throughout their life. When in this boosted state, people that have known each other for ages have turned on each-other and murdered one another. Thus people are well known to attack their allies to further their missions of gaining manium. Because mental states of pshycosis and beserk can occur when boosted by Manium. Meaning someone can become a mindless/thoughtless murdering machine, killing any and all who they see. In hopes they are holding manium to further consume. Or simply just for amusement.

Extended periods of use or extended uses in general, can cause the person to become savage in nature, losing their sense of reasoning and intelligence. This doesn't make them entirely stupid, but obvious wrongs would of been right if someone wasn't indulging in Manium. Cyrus only consumed manium because he had no other choice. He almost died and if it wasn't for the manium he was accused of stealing still being in his possession, he would be dead. Also if it wasn't for A pretty astounding healer. (that is no longer alive o.o )

Ugh i just wonder how cars are fitting in the rp.... i do not want to be a douche here but in a world being run by magic...cars running by fuel....gas or anything else would be much unlikely. It would be close to FMA or Fairy Tail. There are transportation means but with pilots running the monopole i think they would want to maintain it and people would not complain.
In a world where cars are run by tech users why would someone then create a car running on NOT ever lasting fuels.
Sure the magicans would be in need for tech users then but it would fit in the lore....while i am doubting a red pick suddenly driving through a more MTG based lore >_>

Then for the whole stamina thing..i do like the thing stamina over sheer power but in rp fights it tends to be really unfair. Just a huge opening attack will destroy a Tech user completly and with magic being able to enchant weapons, to be manipulated by thoughts and to be controlled more freely i see a huge disadvantge in being a tech-user.
A tech can just do what it was designed for... Like shooting a lightning...like creating a flame... a mage which would specialize in being a fire mage could do more! The whole thing about stamina would then be completly useless since creative and unknown patterns would then win.
I am not trying to change your rp here, i am just trying to get more people in being a tech user ....which is currently only me.....because i see a huge lack in being a tech user....

Saying this is more related or similar to FMA is a good example or point. Because due to the high level of technology and Magic, it does seem a lot like that realm/universe.

Only pick up trucks and cars will be available to the public. Something on par with the size of a short-bus or bigger, like a semi. Would require A Pilot or be found very useless for something like Demonspade64 is looking for. The idea of A vehicle running on limited fuel would work just fine. Why would A magic user want to continue to spend outrageous amounts of currency. When overall less currency can be spent if A small truck is bought for personal use? Allowing you to pay one large sum, then periodically pay for gas. Instead of paying (the amount of the truck.) insane amounts every time you go somewhere via pilot travel.

So due to the cost it would be more efficient to buy A car/truck. (If you are not insanely rich that is.) While, distance can be covered immensely faster or more efficiently when someone employs A pilot.

Speaking of currency I forgot to put this down.

Currency is done by gems. This is how it goes.

10 Emeralds make 1 Sapphire. (5mill Emerald make 1 Manium Crystal

100 Sapphire make 1 ruby. (1 Ruby is also equal to 1 Obsidium, 500k Sapphire also make 1 Manium Crystal)

50 Ruby make 1 diamond (5 thousand Ruby make 1 Manium Crystal.)

100 diamond make 1 Manium Crystal

Someone may see a disadvantage to being A tech User. The idea of A magic user doing A one shot death to another, or anyone for that matter, Is not going to happen, end of story. The only possibility for a one hit k-o is if the owner of the character permits it.

As for your thoughts on seeing the huge lack on Tech users. Tech users naturally have a set-back in life, they need a crutch to use abilities that A magic user can do with free will. That is a factor of life. Either way if people choose a lot of tech or magic users. I still will fill whichever is lacking with Npc's throughout the storyline. And if there is a major lack of Tech users, when my Magic user antagonists enter. We will just have a period were less tech users are around. No biggie. These two factions are not against each other religiously, so size of each 'faction' holds no value. They are just two options of characters, just like the races. If no one picks A certain race, expect to see me playing them more, or not see them at all. It is what it is.

If you fear the level of strength between individuals characters, making the role-play unfair. This role-play isn't about fighting each other. Sure a lot of violence will occur and blood will be shed. But Esailia makes an excellent point. (Ty by the way.)

Magic users are sprinters. tech users are long distance runners. That is their advantage. Magic users need to pick and choose how they use their mana. Tech users, however, can use their weapons more freely.

Also, yes regaining mana or stamina in this universe takes a very considerable amount of time. Manium Crystals have been used in near death situations and etc. To aim to boost themselves to get them out of danger and into safety. (The chances it working like that is usually slim. Due to the aggression and loss of reason one has when boosted by Manium Crystals.)

Tech users, however, can use their weapons more freely. Sure magic users have more power, but they don't have more freedom. If I understand what Dazed is getting at with stamina, it takes quite a while for someone to regain it. Each side has advantages and disadvantages.

Another good way to put it, that I thought of while working today.

Take A first person shooter as an example......

A magic user is like an Assault-Rifle. Long-range, High damage output and low fire rate/amount.

A tech user is like A Sub-Machine Gun. Short range, High fire rate/amount and lower damage output.

Each weapon/user has their own set of advantages and disadvantages.

Here's my C.S.

Appearance: A "handsome" boy who is average height for his age, wears very non-descript, bland clothes but, he dreams of wearing the newest-nicest boys wear. He has dark-black hair, and DEEP blue eyes. He has a fair tan, that usually clashes with his eyes and hair, but he isn't ugly. He has and average build with long legs, somewhat muscle-y arms a strong core. (Kinda feel weird describing some of this stuff.) He has a kind face with normal sized almond eyes, a small-er nose, and a little facial hair.

Name: John

Alias/Nick-name: Frost

Age:13

Race: Human

Gender: Male

Affinity:Tech

Titles/Occupations: Run-Away Farm Boy

(Tech) Constructs/Equipment: Freeze Ray Gun (Freezes water on contact.)(Non-sealed Manium crystal included.) A sleek looking weapon that fires a small constant ray that slows down molecules perceivable immediately. If it came in contact with a human frost-bite would come in seconds and after one minue that part of the body would be frozen, all the water in it would be frozen. It has a 25foot range and theoretically can be fired for an indefinitely, but the gun drains mana more the longer you use it.

Feats/Skills: Can swing a scythe well. John is fit, fast for his age, and has strong arms.

Bio: John used to live on a large farm plantation made for feeding people in Etheon ,a few miles away, for as long as he can remember. He was technically a slave but, like all the other boys there, he wasn't called that and was probably treated a little better than real slaves. Like the others there, he was always taken care of, well fed, and had nice sleeping quarters. He worked harvesting a wheat-like plant all day from what would be 4:45 am Earth time to 6:00 pm (Earth time) were he and the others would have a short dinner and about an hour and half break before they got to bed at 7:45 (Earth Time.). One might think that John didn't have it that bad but, he and the other boys hated it. They had no one to love them, the plantation owners only thought of them of a way to make money, and they were severely beaten for anything that they might have done wrong. Even though John was a nice hard working boy, he was always socially awkward and had no real friends, so he wanted to leave the plantation more than anyone else. The only problem was the plantation was heavily guarded with cameras and non-magical task masters watching the boys' every move. John's big break was when he found a magical gun after bringing grain to a merchant who would later sell food to the cities people. During his free time that day he found out the guns abilities and he could shoot it on his own fairly well and made an easy escape that night, taking a fair amount of food with him. He is currently in the city searching for someone who could take him in and teach him the ways of tech magic.

Other: Looking for anyone who may want to have a master-apprentice relationship.

Edit: Weapons been explained.

-In addition to being proficient at using his abilities, Zor'el is also physically formidable. His skin is more beast than human. It is hardened to feel almost like stone.

You need to make him a specified ferus out of the selection.

Torris said
Combustion Inducement: Z can cause anything he grabs a hold of to spontaneously combust into crimson red flames. He must hold on to this object for up to 15 seconds.
Hell Flashover: When in a confined area, Zor'el can gather or manipulate fire and heat until everything in the area ignites causing an extremely dangerous situation for anyone not named Zor'el trapped in the area as well.

These two abilities are extremely powerful. I do not feel comfortable allowing them.

Torris said
Gift of Lucifer: Z uses his magic abilities to drain the heat from any source that emits it. For example, he can drain the heat from a small fire(extinguishing it) and use it to launch a controlled heat blast.

So this ability would be more like a buff, allowing you to use less stamina/Mana when fire is already present and other abilities. Just like any other elemental Magic user. If they manipulate an element, it costs less if the element is nearby. This wouldn't necessarily boost his overall power, just make abilities cause less stamina/mana. (And it wouldn't cut the cost in half, to high of a reduce.)

Torris said
Hell's Projectiles, Super-heating body, Flight

Hell's projectile is should be kept an eye on, when it comes to Mana/Stamina cost. In retrospective of complexity of projectile casted and power or lethality behind it. The disc and smoke wouldn't cost nearly as much as the missile with explosion on impact.

Super-heating, the mana/stamina factor would greatly depend on amount of the body engulfed in fire. Added in with the intensity or heat of the fire/increased. Your character would never supply heat or fire on his body. That would melt things like armor or swords.

Flight/speed boosts needs to be watched when it it comes to extended use of the ability. Other then that its chill.
