If my opinion means anything, I think the size of the image is fine, but it's pretty tall. I dunno about you, but my computer screen is wider than it is tall. So as not to stretch the page vertically too much (and make for less pointless scrolling) I'd prefer tall images like that be kept in a hider at least (same reason I turn Signatures off)
