European style draw, you point the bow downward to notch the arrow, draw upward, then level your aim. Asian style draw, you hold the bow above your head to notch the arrow, and draw back as you level your aim. Most comfortable way to carry is with the string at your chest, unless you're using a compound bow. The wheels would get in the way, and you would be better off carrying it by hand. Firing is simply a release. The action has almost a Zen property to it. Also, I'm not sure if it's true for all Asian bows, but Japanese bows have a longer curve above the grip than below it.
