Jason had to be one of the luckiest human beings on the planet. The quick presentation of what was supposed to have soon been his past life was interrupted as what he could only assume was another citizen of the town popped up from behind a car behind the raiders and started spraying them with the 7.62 rounds from an AK-47 he or she was wielding. One of the three bandits was hit and down straight away and the other two were so surprised they stopped firing for a second, too shocked to react properly. They were well and truly fucked now, flanked on both sides by people who wanted them very dead. Jason took the opportunity by the balls; throwing down the rifle and quickly drawing his trusty revolver. He brought the weapon up and aimed at the bandit closest to him; squeezing off a shot and sending a round into the targets chest, dropping him immediately. Before Jason could line up another shot the last bandit in the small crew of three was struck by the bullets coming from Jason's saviour. Not wanting to waste any time of his newly gifted life Jason got up and sprinted over to the three men that they had taken down. All three were silent and dead, which was good for Jason. He didn't feel like any more mercy killing. He quickly inspected the weapons that had fallen next to them or in one case were even still in their hands. The one still in the bandits hands was the one Jason wanted. It was a Remington 870 with a saddle on the side that told him it was a twelve gauge. A beautiful weapon. Jason grabbed it and pulled but to his utter shock the bandits eyes opened. Jason nearly crapped himself but pulled with all his might, yanking the shotgun out of the dying blokes hands before quickly aiming at his head and pulling the shotguns trigger. It was a messy sight even in the darkness. Jason pumped one more time before pulling the sling over his head and leaning down, checking the man's pockets for more rounds. He only found a few, but they were very valuable. Pocketing them Jason finally got up and moved toward the person who had saved him. “Hey, thank you!” Jason spoke, trying to make sure not to come across as aggressive. Saving his life didn't mean the man wasn't jumpy. “You clearing the town? If so, I'm with you, but first I need you to check me real quick for wounds...” Jason was aware of how strange he sounded but he doubted now was the time to explain.
