That is why he has learned to control his soul in order to absorb a decent portion of any damage he has taken. And with that absorbed energy, he can either choose to heal himself with it or others, or add it to his own attacks and make it stronger. He also has the ability to just outright reflect a portion of the attack back towards the attacker, instead of absorbing the blow he just reflects the blow. 2: When it comes to tanking damage, sometimes Alex has just had enough. And when he is heavily damaged... Watch out. Inherited from his father, when Alexander is badly damaged and in a critical condition, his soul sparks and is fueled by the pain and it turns into raw power. His physical all heightened, and he ignores his wounds as they slowly start to heal themselves at a noticeable rate. This allows him to get out of tough situations and hand an ass-whooping to whoever crosses his path. Although with this, the longer he keeps up the ability... the harder the crash is afterwards. Abilities: Alex has slight regenerative abilities, along with increased strength to do things lot lift heavy objects and not tire as easily, keeping a firm stance and almost impossible to push over if fully ready for the blow, and taking heavy his and ignoring the majority of the pain. His will is his greatest strength, he never gives up. Skills: His main skills are in defense and control of the battle field. He likes to make the pace of the battle, if the enemy advances too quickly he'll bring that advance to a halt, and when there needs to be offense he is not afraid to move straight up to the enemy and push them back (Usually by bashing their head in with his shield). He is excellent with a shield and sword, having a massive shield in front of him, deflecting any blows as he turns and swipes at the enemy with his sword. A;ex has shield and sword use down to a science, and even if his shield is the only thing he has, he is still capable of taking down many people. Also the other way around, if his shield should break and he is only left with his sword, he has the skill to parry, deflect blows and swiftly kill his enemy with his sword. Equipment: His thick cadet armor and face mask, his shield, the crest in the middle of his shield made out of bronze, and a single long sword that used to belong to his father. Backstory: His father was part of the brigade, and he followed in his footsteps. Alexander very much believed in honor, justice, and his religion and faith. Very honest and noble, he was brought up to be a gentleman and nothing less. From day one he was trained in the use of shield and sword, constantly training and sparring and keeping in good physical shape. Although Alexander preferred the shield, and seemed to use a bigger, more covering shield with less ability to strike with a sword rather than the small, more mobile shield. But that never bothered Alexander, nor did he even need a sword to win a fight. He was quite able to disarm and beat his enemy with only his shield. Yet his father wanted him to be well-rounded, and had Alexander do lots of only sword fighting, which he excelled in anyhow. After enlisting in the army Alexander was put right into the battlefield. Being a grunt he was the first one to go in, normally used as "cannon-fodder". But Alex didn't mind this job, and he excelled at it better than almost everybody else. With his shield up and sword ready to sweep around and slice, he made a great wall, so to speak. And when he got in range, his sword tore through flesh like nothing. After proving his worth, Alex was put into more... specialized groups rather than just the random grunts who stprm to the battlefield first. He was often seen leading flanks or pincer assaults, as well as defended forts and holding down for reinforcements. Whatever it was, Alex always wanted to control how the fight went, whether that was pressing a hard advance or staying in place and defending a position. Sadly after a few years in service... a tragedy happened. His father was killed in battle. The only thing left was his famous face mask and his sword. This Alexander took, and it's never not on his person. Even through the harshness and endless training Alex endured, he knew he had a lot to thank of his father, and he would always remember him. Now carrying along the legacy of the "Black Crusader", as his father used to be called, Alex was called to be a cadet in the Bronze Brigade. Could he live up to his father's legacy, or would he disgrace the Ducos name?[/hider] Done.
