‘Looks like everything is in order’ Mikhail whispered to himself early next morning after inspecting the Delta Plus, ensuring there were no malfunctions before departure.
‘Now to wait for the Cosmic Culture Club to show up… I still can't believe they're thinking of sending in brats for this job, even if they claim it’s going to be a long term study.’

Mikhail turned as he heard footsteps echoing through the corridor before saluting once he saw the lady come into view.

“Lieutenant JG Meyer reporting” Mikhail swiftly brought his arm down completing the salute to Professor Elizabeth Clabery.

Elizabeth acknowledged him before returning his greeting,
“Morning, you must be the new officer assigned to us?” 

“That is correct Professor Clabery”

“We will be leaving in another half hour after we have finished boarding everything into the shuttle”

“It’s good to know we won’t be held up then, although you have a stop to make”

“Yes, we will need to cross Side 3 and meet up with the rest of the Culture Club”

“Side 3?” Mikhail didn't like the sound of that.

“Several members of the expedition were stationed there”

‘Even if the war is over I’d rather not head straight into Zeon territory’ Mikhail thought.
“Understood, the fighters and I are ready to depart as soon as your shuttle is ready”

“Very well, we will be counting on you lieutenant, if you’ll excuse me I need to check on my students” Elizabeth smiled slightly.

‘Surprisingly their supervisor isn't stuck up about this’
“Understood Professor” Mikhail waited until she left before turning back to the Delta Plus
‘At least I shouldn't have to worry about the invaders too much at Side 3, even though that means even less to expect from this trip. Zeon’s been disarmed and the rogue remnants fled the colonies to avoid the Federation and EDC. At this rate the most action I’ll see this trip is from a training drill.’
