"...I hope this one's empty..." Nervously, a small blonde girl peered from behind the carriage door, and froze when she saw people inside. Was it too much to ask for even one to be empty? She wasn't good with people, especially people she didn't know... It would've been much better if she could just hide in a carriage by herself, where she could quietly do some reading whilst she waited for the train to reach its destination. But this was the last carriage. What was she going to do now? Mary had no time to think about this, though, as a screech from the cage held in her hands made her jump in shock. The tiny owl inside had woken up, and was fluttering about excitedly. "W-wah! B-be quiet, Jayne!" she mumbled in a panic. "They... Th-they'll notice us if... If y-you don't..." But the owl would not heed her pleas, only growing louder and more excited.
