Name: Giuseppe Alighieri
Age: 15
Gender: Male
Appearance:
Element: Wind
Powers: An offensive, defensive, and a passive: Giuseppe can use highly-concentrated air to make projectiles that are both difficult to spot and really hurt to get hit by. He can also use air in the sense of making its particles, atoms and such, vibrate, which can disrupt someone's focus and magic usage. Something passive he can do is manipulate sound, amplifying it or muting it, a skill that can be used strategically.
Personality: Giuseppe is a sensitive, sweet person. He is also pretty optimistic and caring, loving, given some time to form a bond. He enjoys music, writing, and poetry as well as the visual aspects of arts, and is usually found either writing a song or poetry, or working on some type of drawing or painting. He doesn't play favorites, and is very friendly, usually saying, "Se non sei mio nemico, allora sei mio amico," which means, "If you're not my enemy, you're my friend." Giuseppe would gladly sacrifice anything for a friend, even if they may not do the same for him. With Aria, he feels safe and loved, knowing that she would do the same for him.
History: Giuseppe Alighieri was born in the city of Venice, in Italy, to an upper-middle class family. His family was one of musicians, his father being a pianist and his mother, a vocalist. From a young age, Giuseppe would take up music himself, choosing to learn how to play guitar. Of course, this was done alongside his normal schooling. Throughout his childhood, he learned bits and pieces of a foreign language known as English, spoken in both England and America, mainly. It went from just one to two words to full devotion to learning the language. Successfully and fluently bilingual, he was able to communicate with tourists and foreigners. This would come in very handily later on.
When Giuseppe first discovered his powers of Wind-using, it was his fifteenth birthday. He didn't know how, or why, or exactly when, but he awoke in a daze in the middle of the night. He was woken up by a strong gust of air. Though, it was not normal wind. It came from his
hands. Somehow, they stopped, and he went back to bed, too tired to realize that there was something off. The next morning, he blew it off as a wild dream, though quickly realized it was reality. He was greeted by men at the door of his home, telling him what he was, and that he would go to a special academy to learn about it. Neither him nor his parents knew what was going on, but he decided that he would attend. So, he packed his things and left for his destination.
Upon arriving to Quae Academy, he was greeted by a man holding a cage. Giuseppe realized it was for him, and accepted it. He was told to look inside, that he had a friend in there. He opened the cage door and was greeted by a bird- which was really big considering how young it was. The men explained that it was a female, and what she was. Apparently, she was something called a Familiar, and was Giuseppe's. The Winged Tempest stepped out and looked at Giuseppe for a minute, and Giuseppe looked back. Suddenly, the Winged Tempest came closer and nuzzled Giuseppe affectionately with her head. Being told to name her, Giuseppe would call her Aria. So began a compassionate friendship that would last for the rest of eternity.
Familiar name: Aria
Familiar species:
A Winged Tempest is a mythological bird of great proportion in size. In a fully-grown male, it is around 7-8 feet from talons to head, a tail of 3 to 5 feet, and has a wingspan of around 19 feet. Naturally, females are a bit smaller. Winged Tempests, as younglings, are a foot or so in height, wingspan of about 3 feet. Their appearance is similar to that of a hawk or eagle, but with beaks adapted to their omnivorous diets. The colors of their feathers are silver and blue, their beaks being black and their eyes usually a green shade. Some cases, though, they are blue. Winged Tempests are imbued with magical ability, able to manipulate the air around them, which enables them to be both excellent fighters and amazing in flight. These creatures, though intimidating, are actually very calm and kind, both to others of its species as well as other species, especially humans.
Powers of familiar: Same as Giuseppe, but with the addition of flapping her wings to create strong gusts of wind, helpful both in flight and in combat. Currently, just little pushes of air.
