•General Overview•
The story takes place in the world of Ancora, filled with supernatural forces and shadowy creatures known as the Stalkers. Prior to the events of the RP, mankind waged a battle of survival against the Stalkers before discovering how to harness an energy called Aura (magic) to combat these creatures. In the present day, Aura is used to power magical abilities and weapons, often being sold in sold in items and weapons for both every day use and battle. Those who use these abilities to battle the Stalkers are known as Magisters. The RP follows a team of five Magisters-to-be at Magister Academy in the city of Fortitudo, where they will be trained to become official Magisters alongside their fellow classmates. Up until now, mankind had been living in the simple bliss of believe they had finally found peace and a way to survive, but the world is still an unforgiving place and new evil begins to grow within the safety of the cities.
•Things to Know•
The World of Ancora:
The world will be semi futuristic in terms of weaponry & some military transportation, but for the most part it's modern day technology (cellphones, cars, plans, boats, etc.). The only real increase in technology was put toward public safety, military vehicles & weapons made to fend off the Stalkers.
Aura:
Aura is basically magic, more commonly used to control the elements or enhance physical capabilities. Most humans are born only with one or two types of Aura, but depending on the Aura types they already posses it is possible to learn how to use new types. This is highly frowned upon, for having multiple Aura types can cause great strain to the Magister's body.
Weapons & Items:
One of the more popular types of weapon used to combat Stalkers are the "gun blade." The concept is pretty self explanatory, but they can range to any type of weapon with endless possibilities (gauntlets that shoot with every blow, war hammer that send off explosive charges with every hit, a bow that changes into a sword, etc.). Also, it is common for normal weaponry and items to be charmed with aura, allowing Magisters to wield multiple types of Aura without causing the physical strains they cause naturally.
Magister Academy:
This is a school with students ranging from 17-21, though in some cases they can be even younger. This is the final stretch before one can become an official Magister. This being said, the students are often still called upon to take on jobs.
