The wait continues....
Not for long. I will not accept these characters as is. Mainly because of this reason right here
An esper is a rare human that manipulates essences
Stop. Stop right there. A human cannot manipulate essence. They can never manipulate essence because they are Human. End of discussion. That is what Demons do. It seems you want the abilities of demons without any of the weaknesses that come with it. Sorry, but it won't fly. Here is what Human's can do in regards to magic as taken straight from the first post of this here OOC
Humans, have a strong essence within themselves like angels, but instead, humans use it to mix with the essence of the outside world, making a diverse of magic very possible for humans. Think of it like a form of alchemy or chemistry: mixing one's own essence with some other kind of essence to basically form a magical cocktail of sorts.
The only essence an human can use freely is their own. Exceptions are when they are tainted with Demonic influence, which comes with its own weaknesses and such. With that being said. It seems both of your characters electromagnetic abilities are based a combination of manipulating your own essence and outside essence. I've been talking with Mika about this and he says that is not the case here and he brought up a very good argument that perhaps the characters are just using their own essence to carry out these things. But then I read stuff like this:
the core of an espers ability to manipulate essences resides completely in their brain
And sirens start going off in my head because once again. Outside essence manipulation is off limits to Humans (unless for reasons specified above). To be completely honest. The drawbacks behind using these abilities is fine. It's just the explanation behind why you are able to utilize these powers is on such shaky ground that I can't accept it. You need to be more clear in how the character's essence alone can do these things. The fact that Mikael had to explain things to me as well in order to slightly understand how these powers worked shows that things need to be edited and re-written. Sorry, I'm not a science person. And i'm not afraid to say that a lot of the science went way over my head.
If this means people are gonna fight my characters cause their vigilantes then....hehehe. *Cracks Knuckles*
Please do not tempt GMs. That is what the newly installed player meat grinder next to the pie shop is for. To be honest I could give a very large reason why vigilante crime fighting is actually terrible to the infrastructure of Kenan and its safety. But I won't. Mainly because you can technically do it and I won't limit players on what they want to do as long is its possible. And because both your characters activities are limited to small time things. But keep in mind these Casino owners are the "official" rulers of Kenan, there are no politicians as a front or something. It is made very clear who is in charge and the way things are run. So if someone tries to actively go against that. They'll probably die. Now with all that said. I'm going to go eat Cocoa Pebbles with whole milk like a baller.
