The Wall CS/general information
It had been a long winter for the north, many of the smaller bands of nomads had either died or parted ways to survive on their own. The free magic beasts hunting them by day, and monsters eating them by night, there wasn't a whole lot of choice but to flee southwards. Once they hit the wall the south turned them away, but soon a heated skirmish erupted. The north using magic to try and destroy the wall while the south used their rifles to quell the tribemen. After a tense few minutes the northerners fled back to the thicket of the forest.
As spring rolled around the north began to thaw out and things settled down once again. The predators slowly withdrew as the humans regained their strength
The south had a prosperous winter, they had made advances to the steam engine the Empire unleashed two new drednaughts, and the harvest was bountiful.
The journey starts with the South's competition to build flying machines that can endure the north. The King decreed that who's ever machine can travel the furthest will be rewarded handsomely and get receive a lifetime of military contracts
If you from the south, I don't care really what your profession is as long as it has something to do that will get you over the wall/deal with said competition
And there are no smugglers. Who can get you across the wall. It would have to be around and most likely in that case you'd be from the north.
