And NewSun, while I don't like the idea of having good Gods I would wholeheartedly support there being a group of humans who are dedicated to fighting the Princes of Ruin. So long as they're not like omnipresent and pervasive all across the world.
Agreed, a part of the reason that the world has gone crapsack is because the Human God has faded out. How this has happened or why is not known. Maybe on of you guys' princes killed it ;) But i'm up for a band of cleric warriors who fight the Princes, and due to the nature of the RP, they could never be omnipresent. They'd appear when you want them to and do what you want them to do, within reason of course. So, to address this all: I think we'll avoid benevolent deities (or exclusive benevolent deities, as some seem to be a mix of malevolent and benevolent towards their followers). However a cleric band of warriors in the mortal world will probably be a thing. Also, Darkness without light is an abyss, but light without darkness is blinding. Light can be a bad thing, it can reveal what you may not want it to reveal. It is not an intrinsically 'good' concept in any sense. So long as the god isn't obviously benevolent and too reminiscent of your average good god.
