They grew up a block away from each other and spent their childhood at the same schools, playing on the same sports teams, and always fighting or competing with each other. After graduating high school they went to the same college. They were both members of Army ROTC and after graduation joined the Army. After 3 tours in Afghanistan, they became Police Officers in their home town Boston, MA. They were in Toronto for a police conference when the outbreak began. The conference was probably their only saving grace. As things started to get bad they tried to help maintain order. While there was almost no way of doing that, they were at least able to load up on weapons and ammo. When the Emergency Command Center was overrun Tim, Zack, and a few other survivors made it out of the city. They survived in a small suburb for a while but the supplies ran thin they were forced to scavenge. After a few weeks Tim and Zack were the only ones left. Other: Tim and Zack have no family except for each other. Tim is very intelligent, while Zack has always been the more athletic of the two. Since the outbreak, Tim has always been focused on trying to find survivors and a safe place to live, Zack almost seemed to enjoy the lack of civilization in the beginning. Their years in Afghanistan and military training allow the pair to have no problem shooting to kill, but after months of witnessing horrible events like the fall of Toronto, they’ve started to lose a piece of their humanity and the new way of life has started to wear them down, even Zack. They long for something normal. Tim recently broke his leg and has it in a make-shift splint, which has significantly slowed the two down and they have almost no food left. “Is everyone dead?” “Dead-ish” “Is everyone dead?” “Yeah, in the sense that they all, sort of, fell down, and then got up and started eating each other.”
