I think it would make sense for them to have fought together but maybe on less a scale than an entire town. Maybe one of them was assaulted by bandits and the other one came to help?

Edit: Also forgot to add a little detail about Jun's Katana in the other section. Now I think I won't touch my CS anymore but no promises.....
