All's cool with me, though take into consideration that the Synch is wary at best of other civilizations especially after an event early in their history where a construct called Prometheus gave advanced technology to another species and they used it for war. Though Prometheus eventually saw to the end of this species, the damage was already done in regards to the Synch's view of sharing technology. Your faction being artificial definitely swings things in their favor, though, in that at least the Synch will be friendly towards them, rather than blankly staring at them until they go away, =P. Also, first contact with the Synch would very likely have been a very cold and tense affair, especially if A.L.F. persisted in their efforts to communicate with them beyond that which they were comfortable. Afterwards, more personal relations might have been established, likely under Hyperion or Polus, both are higher tier constructs under the Amnosian Over-Mind.
