Kurt Halner Kurt was attending the opening gala of Queen Consolidated NYC and was, by far, the strangest looking of the bunch. He wore a tuxedo like all the other guests, a nice one at that, but did nothing else to disguise his looks. His blue skin, three fingered hands and tail were all in plain view as he spoke with other guests and acted as if he were having a grand time. He was, in fact, having a good time at the gala but he was there on business. He was checking the security of the building, looking for weak points he could take advantage of during a heist, after all, this was Queen Consolidated, the tile floors in the lobby alone were worth a small fortune. "Ah, mister Thorne," Kurt said as he approached an older, bald gentleman with a smile, "I've heard so much about you, its a pleasure to finally meet you," he said as he extended a hand to greet the man. Mr. Thorne, not wanting to be rude, took Kurt's hand and smiled warmly at him. "I'm afraid I haven't heard of you," he said as they shook hands, "I'm sure I would have heard of a businessman with your... unique looks." "Kurt Halner," Kurt said, keeping up his smile, trying not to act as offended as he was over the way this old man had said the word "unique" as he used his masterful skill in sleight of hand to unstrap the man's watch and strap it to his own wrist as their hands parted. Might as well get something out of this despicable encounter. Kurt thought to himself as he waved to the man and walked away, his newly acquired watch on his wrist. That was when the maniacal laughter began and the explosion went off. Kurt looked around the room and saw Peter running off. Typical spoiled playboy, running off the moment things get complicated. Kurt thought to himself and shook his head, running instead to the window to see if the explosion had come from outside. An RPG perhaps? or some other explosive projectile?
