Uhm, I'll put it as a numbered list because I'm lost too:
1. Laenaia senses that the patients are diseased
2. She doesn't know whether she sensed the disease in their bodies or the disease carried in their blood that had been coughed/vomited/something.(Chances are, she assumed the former.
Wait, is the doctor in the same room as those diseased patients or in another room? I'm under assumption that he's in a 3rd room.
