Ryuu Yamauchi
Ryuu felt pretty smug when he was praised for his idea.
No, actually, he felt really smug. Smug to the point where he actually felt like abandoning one of his favorite anime shows. Yet again, there was that foreign, yet awesome feeling. He concluded that it was the feeling of friendship, though it could have been something else like his excessive pride. He was liking these two students already, and all he needed to do was make sure that he looked less ugly!... And sound less ugly. He even thought evilly at times, all because of his stupid habits from his previous school. He would not have minded being violent if everyone else was violent, but these people were genuinely timid ones. It would be stupid to immediately ask whether they wanted their beatings "well-done" or "medium-rare."
Actually, he really loved asking that question. He loved eating steak once in a while, though he had recently begun to avoid it because one of his favorite characters turned out to be a vegetarian.
The funnier thing was that he felt even more smug when David sat next to Serena shyly.
Giving the man the first woman I've ever come to like and respect, Ryuu thought, crying humorously in both sorrow, yet compassion, in his head. I'm such a freakin' boss! Where's the confetti for this otaku?!
And suddenly, Serena began to ask something. The question... it sounded familiar.
"So do you guys like," she began, much to his confusion.
Wait- she must be asking what David's type of girl is, he thought, obsessed with so many things in his head right at the moment. Or maybe she just wants to ask a random question like any sane human being would?! When did I start thinking like my sister, anyway?!
Ryuu shook his head violently, smacking his head with a small hammer once. He blinked, staring at the hammer as if he did not know where it even came from, before tossing it into an unfortunate trashcan. No one apparently saw him do that, thankfully, and the two students in front of him were... getting somewhere.
Then, some music flew into his ears.
"..."
...
...
...
...
...Serena was apparently asking what kind of music they liked.
DAMMIT! You were supposed to ask something DIFFERENT!!! Ryuu thought, his look darkening at the two students. He clenched his fist, barely preventing himself from flipping the table and smacking the two into each other's faces (he would have done it lightly, for the sake of progress).
For the Holy Trinity's sake, David! I give you a chance to actually get a girl, but apparently, your f&%$ing donut is more important than the bombshe- er, girl?!
Ryuu gritted his teeth, his sunglasses shining enough to not let the two students see his dangerous-looking eyes. He still emitted a crazy dangerous aura, though. In fact, this aura was nearly as bad as when he first met the two students, the only difference being that it was actually somewhat accurate to his emotions this time.
So... So what if I'm matchmaking at my first freakin' day at this school? This a chance to get some decent respect from these guys! Actually, they might be younger than me! Oh man, it'd be nice to have two people calling me senpai! And then we could go beat the hell out of those one punks who hurt my mother... Hehheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheh...!
...
...Okay, chill out.
"...Uh, yeah," Ryuu barely managed to grunt out, still feeling a little annoyed by the two students' shyness at each other. "The music is fantastic. Har har har."
It was only when Serena compliment Ryuu that he slightly felt better, but he was still feeling a little annoyed. Knowing that remaining grumpy was stupid, he put up a less depressing tone as he grinned.
"Glad to hear that," he said, finally with his normal voice. "I guess I have good intuition."
Ryuu, however, did not feel like eating. He actually ate before he arrived at the academy, and he just wanted Serena and David to eat up. Scaring them did not make him feel guilty, and for some reason, thinking badly of them did.
The otaku glanced at his side, noticing a new student that had just entered the cafeteria. This guy seemed to have... grey hair and a reddish cape-thing? Was it a cloak? it had to be a cloak. Cloak or not, this guy looked like he was Negi Springfield or something. At least, that was how Ryuu saw him.
"Never been to the student center," he said, turning his attention back to Serena, though he was still curious on the student who looked as if he had a question.
Nathaniel G. Terotrax
"Boo-m, chik, boo-m, boom, boom, boom, boo-m, chik, boo-m..."
To put it simply, he looked like a hippy. Actually, he looked like a freeloading gangster that had nothing to do with his life. But he did have his own goals, and he was very, very far from being a gangster. While there were people who certainly hated him for being so happy all the time, his exuberance proved to be an elixir that cured sorrow and pain. He breathed with Earth, sang for its inhabitants, and overcame obstacles for Mother Nature. This man was far from the average man, for his body was built like that of a warrior's. At the same time, he acted like a peace-loving elder who loved the sound known as music.
Music: it was his very existence, and it let others know of that existence. Music: it was what he was, who he was, and why he was. Music: it did not make him a force of nature, but rather, the voice of everything.
Music: it never stopped following Nathaniel G. Terotrax.
Terotrax let himself capture the image of Athalia Academy in all of its glory. He let himself indulge with the harmony of orchestras full of joy, human emotions, and serenity. Wearing a sloppily placed baseball cap, a loose trench coat, baggy pants, and a strangely exotic necklace, the DJ had never been so excited in transferring to somewhere else. As of recent events, the student heard that Athalia Academy had been constantly sending him the same invitation over and over again because he kept losing them in his travels. After graduating from high school several years ago, he embarked on a journey to find just how far his music life could advance, and so far, he was far from becoming the mastermind behind soundstracks. It was an impossible goal, for he loved all kinds of music.
Of course, that was not to say that music was the only thing that interested him. He liked playing video games, fitting into a community every once in a while, and living different lives with only one. But starting from today, these would become a part of his everyday life. And he liked it, because it seemed that there was a lot of freedom in this school.
Terotrax read through a student handbook before shoving it into the backpack he brought with him. It was actually a logical idea for him to bring a backpack to a school; after all, there were going to be things he would eventually carry, right? Resting beneath the bag on his back, however, was a large, white-and-blue boombox that contrasted with his gold-and-gray trench coat and baggy pants. This boombox not only allowed him to enjoy music even further during his travels, but also let him save lives. Even though he seemed like a naive, young fellow, he was fully aware that a person willing to stand up against utter demise would be able to save others. Music cleansed the soul; music was what he used. He tended to use this music to compete against others, though he never really has malicious intentions when he does so.
"Allllllll-righty, then!" Terotrax grinned widely, looking up at the Academy once more. "Let's let m' mind decide where I go!"
The cap-wearing student took a while to think, crossing his arms. He was unintentionally flexing his "fabulous" muscles. His eyes were closed in deep thought...
...only to be shot open again.
"I hear music in the student center!" He thought aloud. With that said, Terotrax immediately took out his boombox, managing to record a few portions of the song before it ended. He grinned at this.
"I wonder I could do with a few seconds of trumpets and guitars!" The boombox-carrying man said happily. Maybe this academy loved music as well?
With a happy grin spread across his slightly masculine face, Terotrax began to move with his boombox being carried by a shoulder and a hand. He literally sensed something "awesome" in there.
If there was nothing "awesome" within the garden, then he would have to have his necklace checked up. It always worked whenever it found something awesome...
