You are, as long as they aren't few and far between, so to speak. It's fine for you to play siblings, or a Runner and an Omega, or a Runner and a Specter... or any mixture of those combinations. 

I'll be happy to walk you through what you've missed (as your character will no doubt have heard the buzz floating around Sundown), but you needn't worry, we weren't drastically far in. Have you a skype?
