Mae would never take over a case. She wasn't good enough, let alone smart enough. Holmes didn't had to worry about that. But she wasn't John either. It was going to be difficult to work with Sherlock. It was going to be a challenge, and hopefully she could handle it. The woman sighed, pulling her hand back that Sherlock didn't shake. Was he trying to read her? She looked at Lestrade who only shrugged a little. "Right, the case" Lestrade gave him a map with some information in it. Mae on the other side didn't bother to look into it. She already had. "Two people have been murdered the same way, in one week" Lestrade spoke. They were expecting more murders, but the few clues they had it didn't lead them anywhere. "They are hanged on a tree in public. But they have been murdered before that" Lestrade said. "Both were men, somewhere between thirty and forty" he continued. "We got a letter that there is going to be another one" he spoke. The letter was in a map. It was a letter written with a typewriter. "The bodies are in the morgue if you want to see them" Mae had listened to Lestrade and watched Sherlock. He didn't look that good, so big chance he wasn't feeling good either. She wasn't sure whether to offer him some breakfast or not. She held the door open en smiled at Lestrade. "Let's go" Mae said. "First stop, the morgue?" She guessed at Sherlock. Maybe he wanted to see the bodies first. "Or do you need breakfast first?" She gave him a friendly smile, her eyes looking up to him. She meant no harm, that was obvious. "Just so you know. I'm not going to take over your cases. Or trying to be a second John" Mae spoke. "Nor aren't you going to get rid of me so easily. So just suck it up, yea?" She finished her sentence. Awaiting a response from Sherlock.
