Posted, but as always please correct any mistakes I may make with the Lore.

I don't know why I made a character whose most useful aspect is his knowledge, yet I don't know anything about the game.

I know a good bit about Assamite-specific lore, if you need to know anything about that. Just feel free to ask. (I read the Assamite clan book a while back. And I have it on my laptop somewhere. Might re-read it, because it had some cool stuff.)

Alright, I'll get on it.
The lore is so thick though, might take some time.

It is. I would focus on the basics. Don't start digging into too many bloodlines.

You should know about the basics of every clan, the basics of the camarilla and sabbat, and probably what famous vampires there were in history, especially in your clan. Keep in mind though, you were 10 when embraced, so you should consider a lot of your studies were also about regular life.

I, admittedly was a Malkavian, Gangrel, or Ravnos girl. So I focused on them. I have all the books, but as Gargoyle said, it's a lot. I read all the clan books, black hand book, the two nods, and the revelations of the dark mother, but that was about 13 years ago.... so I am rusty

I've played a Toreador, a Malkavian, a Samedi, and an Assamite before. The same Assamite, in fact... Reza's an old favorite of mine.

I loved the nos book! I have yet to get to use the spawning pool, but I plan to. I was going to do it with a gangrel.

I went through a kick of boredom once and made one character for every clan, then one for every supernatural in the world of darkness. Still use some of them.

I did the same thing. Was working on a campaign involving a supernatural tournament between all the different groups. Made 3 different characters for each. (3 Vampires, 3 slashers, 3 Werewolves, exed.)

I'm surprised the brujah didn't note the chick in the corner of the room glaring at everyone. Anyone using auspex in the room would note she is the only one with a heartbeat, and aura perception proves her to be Werewolf.

I enjoy table top games, but don't really know many people who have an interest and would be willing to play.

Edit: So did I haha..

Nice posts so far... Its pretty hard to determine when a malk is merely insane, and when a malk is behaving as if (s)he is insane. We especially chuckled at the Brujah post.
We'd have loved to try tabletop, but don't know anyone that deal in it hereabouts.

Yeah, Travis makes an amazing Nosferatu. And definitely isn't kidding about the whole don't-mess-with-werewolves thing...

My tabletop games have included DnD 3.5, then the revised VtM, then DnD 4e, then the 20th Anniversary VtM, then HERO, then Pathfinder, then Werewolf, and then Shadowrun. So I've gotten a decent taste of various systems. Werewolf was interesting, but I still prefer VtM. More intrigue and less focus on being as good of a killing machine as possible...
