Jack smiles, monitoring the brainwaves of the two vampires. His tests had already confirmed a theory he had had for a long time. Oldbloods had always been a seperate cast of vampires, a leading group capable of killing hundreds. :Lords of the night, to be feared by the common rabble. However, the common idea had been that any vampire, were he of sufficient age, might become an Oldblood. The silly delusion that somehow, one's powers became greater with time. In reality, of course, it works quite differently. Only the vampires that are Oldbloods survive to become so old. It takes a while, of course, for a vampire to reach it's full strength, flexing it's muscles to full potential. However, Martin's genetic makeup made him an oldblood, far more powerful than other vampires. The main target of his research was, however, the most mysterious elements about vampires. An element that no science had been able to grasp and understand. Vampires seemingly possessed psychic abilities, which had long been the source of mysticism and superstition. It was one of the greatest mysteries of the modern world, something that some believed to be proof of the existance of magic, and through it, whatever foolish and superstition beliefs they might hold. As such, would it not be the greatest achievement of science if he were able to unveil that mystery? And would it not be the greatest achievement in military history if he were able to apply it? A force said to be supernatural, capable of influencing the very thoughts of others. He would unveil it's secrets.
