I think you were good to post, no worries. I don't get what part of Aemoten's words is she citing, though? Aemoten never insisted she was unharmed, only said this: "Thank the Planes... I can live with things that simply attack you, but damned be everything and anything that can climb into your head without your permission." And I admittedly do not understand where she is going... The stairs are one side against the wall, so she can only be on the same side of the banister as Jaelnec is or be standing in the stairway. ...And Aemoten is practically standing in the stairway, so anyone jumping over the banister would end up right in front of him (and might land on the yth Jaelnec was fighting?) and anyone approaching not across the banister would have to go past him (and all the guards/Olan scrambling around somewhere in front of the stairs but behind Aemoten).
