Seeing his new companion try to smooth talk the girl and sensing a slap out of it for his efforts, Jarrod sighed in mock annoyance. He chose to walk behind the two in the back, still intent on getting something to fill his stomach. A few bitter words wouldn't be enough to deter him. Besides, weren't people supposed to be charitable to lonely travelers like him? Crossing his hands behind his head, Jarrod walked with the two travelers lazily, still trying to figure out how he was gonna eat for the next few days.
