After a few minutes of walking, hustling and avoiding the troublesome lurkers, Cecily finally arrived near the outskirts of the town, where all the houses were mostly located. She walked past the first few, immediately crossing them off her list since they weren't to her taste. Sure it was an apocalyptic world, and the only thing of her mind should be survival. But come one, a house with smashed windows? a red roof with a yellow garage door? Forget it, she had exquisite preferences that needed to be met. Her eyes stole a quick glance at the sky, ever so often, noting the position of the sun. Eventually, she would have to settle with one of the houses. And she probably had to make sure it was clear of lurkers, so she needed to make up her mind. Wait...Something doesn't seem right.. Cecily stopped in her tracks and concentrated on her surroundings, trying to see and hear as much as possible. Almost as soon as she stopped, Cecily's ears twitched to a soft rustling behind her. A Lurker? She thought, not daring to turn around yet. That's impossible. At this distance I should hear a moan or two...that means... Without wasting another second contemplating it, Cecily turned around, spotting two figures from the corner of her eye. One was dangerously close to her while the other a few feet away. She decided to deal with the closest threat, and while still turning around, sweeping her foot along with her and colliding it with the stranger's side. However, since she did it all in one sweeping motion, there was barely any strength involved.
