@ Sedate You need to reign your character in a bit. It's fine if you want your character to be famous, or strong, but there was more then one line in your CS that really goes against the vibe I want this RP to be. Particularly: "Summoning forth huge pillars of flame to reduce the undead to dust, and wielding swords that seemed to dissolve the undead with each slash, it began to cut a ruthless swathe through the assembled creatures." "Solomon has fought and killed countless necromancers."... etc. No character in our group should be able to cut down countless foes with great ease. I understand as a shade your character can't die unless the Necromancer they were accidentally created from dies, and that allows you immortality in a sense, but any player here should still be very mindful not god-mode, which was very much the vibe I got from reading your sheet. Even arguably more powerful characters like Lucian's or Elayne are powerful in the number of men under their control and their own capabilities, but neither character is portrayed as an unstoppable force. They are good examples of powerful grounded characters. I've said before, I may allow something or deny the same thing depending upon how it is written. If you want there to be legends about your character felling hordes of undead single handedly, go for it. They almost certainly won't be true, but legends aren't always true anyway. I would recommend reading Freefallers, Raid's or Capt Kiwi's, or Azathoths CS, because they all did an excellent job at creating 'normal' grounded characters. I want the Vibe of this RP to be that your character can die at any moment, because they literally can. I just feel like you need to done your CS down a bit to work with this vibe. You may have intended for your character to be more down to earth, but the manner in which you wrote the CS really works against the kind of world I want us to create here. I think the idea of a Shade immortalized by war stories and myth is great, and if handled right you could seriously open some interesting doors. You can tone your character down while keeping his legend intact, and I would reccomend you give your character more 'mortal' elements in the future as you wrote, maybe not necisarrily in the flesh and blood sense, but just keep them on par with the average player. @Everyone. I added some small updates to the Gorgon and Ferros sections. The land where King Garren Blackwater was killed is called the King's Pass by Briar loyalists, but traitors pass by Blackwater loyalists. The swamp surrounding it is known as The Swamp of Sorrows. The last paragraph in the Ferros section is also new. Overall they are all purely cosmetic and grammatical changes, but some more information none-the less. I'm writing the IC now and will probably have it posted by the next time most of you check this thread again, or at the very least by tomorrow night. I'm also adding two new things to the rule section: - No auto hitting - Anyone can die. - Valar morghulis.
