I don't think I'll be 2-3 posts per day, I will do at least one and if given the chance on my off or half days, more than once. But most of the RPs I've been in before were Multi-para or similar, so I guess if it's just Para I can post more often. Erm. Not sure that terminology is used here. =P Moderate length posts rather than 1-2 pages.

I tend to post a lot in one day. It depends on the interactions, really and how much people are posting. I'm usually on this site 24/7.

In casual (where we are) typically posts are at least a paragraph or two, I personally consider anything over four paragraphs to be in the Advanced section.

Most of the casual RPs I did here were rather long, but they usually called themselves High Casual. Merrr. I never liked Advanced, since the people there wrote their posts with redundant and tiresome filler to seem more eloquent and all-in-all seemed like pricks trying to show off the size of their... pricks. Not all of them, mind you. Just the overall atmosphere of Advanced.

A lot of advanced is because people just prefer to write at length, being clear and concise is actually pretty difficult for a lot of people. But there are some people like you described as well, they're everywhere. I sometimes say 'High Casual' to avoid people whom admittedly have more of a 'Free' forum writing level... but that might be me being a little shallow. Quality over quantity etc.

I don't think it's shallow. I find it hard to carry on an RP with someone who leans towards a Free style - they give you nothing to go on, which is fine occasionally but if they only do the least response possible it gets very tiring. I did an RP where I would write several paragraphs, admittedly for two characters, and the response was about 1-2 sentences. Nuh-uuhh! When I helped moderate a few RPs I usually asked for a couple paragraphs at the least - I don't think it's asking too much.

True. Anyway i'm into high casual roleplays or mid-casual roleplays at the least. So out of curiosity, is this rp gonna be free, low-casual or mid-casual?

My biggest problem probably is writing that makes absolutely no sense, I remember groaning audibly in a class once because someone had posted something along the lines of: "Cindy (name changed) was in the really really tiny cage in the scientists lab and she had her hands handcuffed behind her but she stood up and walked over (apparently it's a really big 'really really tiny' cage) and then talked to the guard and got him to give her the keys and she unlocked the bars and let herself out and then knocked him out and ran down the hall and was outside so she hid behind a plant and watched as people ran around looking for her."
It was a story starting out in a dystopian city, the only prisoners were very wealthy people because all the rest were killed on scene (part of the story), from her CS she had no reason to be captured at all to begin with on top of being destitute.

Wow. That's terrible. Haha I actually came across a person who writes that way in the old guild. Worst thing was, he followed me into every rp I went to and it just ruined the stories. It also really killed my interest in the rps that I joined in. Sigh

That's the sad thing about RPG sometimes. =P Meet someone in one RP you may not like and odds are you'll probably see them again because similar interests.

However, all that aside, I'm full of optimism about this group! Thank you all by the way for helping me to do my 'job' by being really good about getting everything together. I confess this is taking a bit longer than most OOCs to get off the ground but I'm convinced it will be worth it.

For some reason that makes me want to RP a morbidly obese character - thinking about 8stone6 and naturally assuming it's light or average, but could be super obese. Hmm.
