Melody held te bowl in her hand, wondering how yo take a picture of just the egg, when something happened. A small crack appeared in the egg, an a small, snakelike head poked out. Knowing reptiles, it would just chill in the egg for a couple of hours soaking up the embryonic fluid. It was a silvery blue colour with pinkish red eyes. Melody took a picture of it, and then stood up, announcing "my dragon just hatched!" With glee in her voice.

Elliot took a picture of the egg sitting in the palm of his hand, and then began recording the required info, when he heard melody yell that her dragon hatched. He ran over, preking in the see a little head sticking out of the egg, slowly looking around. "Cuuuute!" He yelled, smiling down at the small creature.
