Inadi watched as Ace and Lesley screeched by him and crossed the oak tree finish line before him, though he eventually thought less of it and let out a sigh. Yes he wanted to win the event, but in the end he enjoyed himself too much to actually be mad at losing the race. He pulled up on his reigns and looked down at Pini, who was letting out a few gasps of breath to try and settle the rapid beating in his chest. Finally letting out a quick breath he held his neck out proudly, as if trying to make himself look bigger than the other birds. The spectacle wearing boy laughed and petted the large bird on the neck to calm it. “No need to try and compensate there big guy. We did the best we could.” He told his Chocobo, which gave a nod and a kweh in response. It was amazing how smart these birds were based on how they reacted to what each of them had said to them. They react to the word Gyshal Greens, they seem to understand the phrases they were telling them as a group. Definitely not some mindless mount to just be ridden into battle that was for sure. With the word battle entering his thoughts, Inadi let out a sigh as he began directing Pini's reigns towards the rest of the group. Guides were gathered and it seemed like they were preparing to send them out hunting for the dragons. Looking to the side of his saddle, Inadi saw his spear still resting in the small holster he was able to put it in before the race. Here he was hoping he would be able to relax and not have to worry about getting eaten alive so soon. Finally joining in with the rest, he listened closely to the group. Riley seemed concerned with how far the mountain was, and rightfully so. Inadi wasn't sure if they had any supplies that would last for a long trip. Plus you had to add into account the Chocbos and other mounts. They would need food and water as well at some point. Just as he was ready to ask that question, he heard Ace talk about how she wanted to see the dragons actually. Inadi was dumbfounded. How could someone, especially one who apparently had already experienced so many near death experiences due to the journey the queen and sent them off to earlier, be so excited to be exposed to yet another potentially dangerous adventure. It was almost as if she was a glutton for punishment. Something Inadi had to learn more about. “So is it just the idea of adventure that gets you excited or is it the fact that danger comes along with it?” He asked, trying his best not to sound rude when asking the question. Taking the reigns back up he began following the guides to the large dirt path on their way. “Because I honestly wouldn't think anyone would be this excited to potentially have to fight and kill something that could eat each and everyone of us in a single bite.” Finally reaching the section of the caves that the dragon was supposed to be, Inadi got off his Chocobo with the rest of the group. Giving Pini one last pet on the head he took his spear off the saddle and watched as the bird began running off. He couldn't help but feel a little emotional at the sight of the bird leaving, but in the end duty called. Turning back around he followed the rest of the group towards the impending danger and possible death that was potentially the dragon. Honestly, the things he got dragged into. He stayed close to Ace, waiting for her to finally respond to his question as they approached rocks that seemed to have just experienced a light rain or something. They were surprisingly slick. Luckily for Inadi, his spear proved to be a capable walking stick. Each time he stuck the spear in the ground, it seemed to pierce it like a knife cutting a fresh baked pie. Much like he would do back at Mr. Cuddles' shop. He turned the memories away as he began trekking up some larger stones, just as slick as some of the smaller ones while Riley stuck to the dirt road nearby. Hearing her request for magic from Leon, Inadi shook his head. "I think it would be better to save as much magic as possible." He said in a slightly lighter voice. If a dragon was nearby he didn't want to wake it. A cranky dragon would definitely not be a pretty sight. "We don't know when this dragon will show up. It's best we keep all our powers saved up so we can hit it with everything we got once and just be done with this whole chore." He said as he leaned against his spear that he had just stuck into a stone. This magic was useful, but it should be saved for only the biggest worst case scenarios.
