Name: Soleil Fontaine Race: Human Age: 33 Gender: Female Soliel has a strong, independent look. Many often mistake her for being unfriendly simply from the way she carries herself, the eye patch doesn't help much either. She is muscular, and could match even the strongest man for strength. Faction: Children of the Dark Sun. Biography: Soliel and her family hail from a small settlement in Veretta, her parents being travelers that eventually settled down there when they learned her mother was with child. Their life was relatively easy there, with her father opening a shop that bought and sold various items. They made a life there, and soon, Soliel was born. Soliel had a simple, happy childhood, learning the basics of swordplay from both her parents. At times though, she would sneak off into the nearby forest on some pretend adventure with a few of the other kids from the settlement. Unfortunately, the peace didn't last very long. When she was fifteen, her village was attacked. She says it was by a cult of fire worshipers, though whether this is true or not is debatable. There are whispers that it was the very group that she now belongs to that attacked it. Either way, they destroyed everything, burning the town to the ground. They took some prisoners, and she can only guess their fate. Only Soleil and a very few other survived, Soliel only barely. The refugees made their way to the nearest city, seeking shelter there. It was granted to them, but Soliel wasn't satisfied simply with having a roof over her head. She wanted revenge. She taught herself to use a sword, wear armor, and fight. It was a few years later, after she made a name for herself at the age of eighteen as a skilled freelancer, that she was approached by a rather peculiar man. He said his name was Adelmar. At first, he was her adventuring partner for awhile. Though, simply from the way he acted she could tell he had ulterior motives. She rather bluntly confronted him at the end of the sword. So, he told her that he was a member of the Children of the Dark Sun, and that he could help her find those that destroyed her village. She eagerly jumped at the chance, and was drafted into the Dark Sun Cult. Before then, she had never been particularly religious, though she had always tried to do right. Soon after being introduced into the cult, however, she became a devout follower of Sol. Soon, she forgot entirely about vengeance, wanting nothing more than to prevent what happened to her from happening to others. She quickly rose through the ranks, be particularly gifted at hunting down dangerous mages, thanks to her blade and armor. She has reached a lofty position in their command, but does not desire leading them and is quite happy where she is. Skills: ~Cult Skills~ -Eclipse. -Spear of Light. -Solar Powered. -Father's Love. ~Learned Skills~ -Skilled with most forms of one handed and two handed weapons, though she favors a large claymore. Known to carry a war hammer sometimes, however. -Extremely good Physical endurance and strength. Soliel uses a patient, but decisive fighting style, waiting for an opening before she swings her large sword which is capable of killing most things in one swing. That said, Agility isn't her strong suit. Against faster opponents, she may be at a disadvantage. However, she is quite adept at using her large sword to deflect blows just as well as most with a shield could. Equipment: -Steel plate Armor and cloak supposedly blessed by Sol. Incredibly durable. -A Large Claymore made of Red steel. It is somewhat resistant to magic, and can break some magic effects and dispel it. She has named it 'Justice' It is quite heavy, which she has equated to the actual weight on her shoulders. She can wield it well enough with one hand, but it is much more effective when in both. If she is serious about a fight, she will use both hands to wield the blade. -Holy Symbols of Sol that adorn her armor. No real significance other than to serve as holy symbols serve.
Whoo~ Told ya I'd have her up this morning xP
