Little Feather Little Feather wandered down the halls; though she walked confidently she was feeling a little anxious without Lion by her side. She had been so set on returning the paper clutched in her hand to Kenshi, she hadn’t even thought to tell anyone where she was going. I should go back, it’s no use looking now I don’t know where he went She thought to herself, turning a corner she emerged into the garden seeing a large collection of people nearby, She felt a twang of excitement ignite in her. After the earlier success of introducing herself to Kathy and Eric, she felt confidence fill her to the brim. She all but skipped over to the small group sat on benches some eating happily others sitting around relaxing, once she was close enough and sure they could see her if they looked, she raised a hand in greeting. “Hey! I’m Little Feather, mind if I join you guys?” She asked, with a big smile. I did it! Without Lion or anyone...he’ll be proud of me She thought to herself, her chest puffing out a little in pride though it quickly deflated as she stood there, twirling the ring on her finger. She wasn’t so sure this was a good idea now, there was a scary looking guy sat on a bench next to the most uniquely dressed individual she had ever seen. Across from them was a small group with another scary looking guy whose eyes were shining as if he were mad. “Hey, are you ok?” She asked the guy with the special solar flare effect eyes. Crash Crash’s grin widened as Kathy laughed, he looked up at her as she removed the paper from his head. “Touché” He smirked at her returned jest. “This one was tame in comparison, I recall flying into a pond yesterday afternoon” He chuckled, lifting his hands he realized he’d thrown Romeo and Juliet over his head, scooting round so he was on his knees he looked over his shoulder with a bemused expression. He looked back at Kathy as she spoke, a smile forming on his lips though it faded pretty damn fast at Kiwi’s name. “Hell no comes to mind I do not wish to see Kiwi. You could probably drag me pretty far if you wanted to. You look pretty strong” He chuckled, winking at her before beginning to collect the scattered documents around him. He stacked the 2 large books he’d been given first, before placing a wad of paper still bound together on top of that. That’s 3, no more accidents today. Damn gods got it against me “Thanks” He murmured to Kathy as she knelt down and started collecting paper, he felt himself glancing at her every so often. Does she keep glancing at me? Probably keeping an eye in case I drop stuff again, or throw it in the air He turned scooping the last of the wayward paper together just as Kathy stood up, he looked up at her accepting the paper she handed him with a grateful smile. He carefully put them on top of the stack on the floor, getting to his feet. “My favourite type of activity...paperwork” He sighed looking at the mess of papers piled next to him. He smiled and bent down to pick the pile up, scooping them up he looked around the floor trying to find the last book. He looked up at Kathy as she spoke, his eyes following her gaze and landing on the large white lion and girl with the wavy blonde hair. “Whoa...that’s something you don’t see everyday” He quoted, moving over to the table he put his books down on it. Watching as the lion opened an eye, flicking an ear forward as if he had understood what Kathy had said. Crash looked at the lion for a moment, lurching backwards as the lion sprung to its feet suddenly looking directly at him; he lifted his hands in surrender as the lion grumbled loudly. Death by lion...wasn’t expecting that The lion Jumped up on his hind legs looking at the table just behind Crash, before it turned its large head to focus on Kathy, dropping back to all fours. The lion rubbed his head on the blonde haired girls shoulder briefly before he bounced around her, his nose to the floor as he sniffed around Crash’s feet, head butting his way through Crash’s legs. “Yikes!” Crash yelped going onto his tip toes to avoid injury as the Lion stood with his butt facing Kathy his head on the floor. Crash tip toed forward, his logical brain completely uncomfortable with a lion between his legs. “Friend of yours?” He asked Kathy with a raised eyebrow a smile on his face as he stepped forward. Just before Crash was clear of him the lion suddenly slammed into reverse scooting out from under the table at speed, shooting back through Crash’s legs he lifted his head up suddenly, butting Crash in the backside causing Crash to stumble forward into Kathy he glanced back at the lion making sure he’d stopped. “I’m s-“ Crash begun stopping as he turned back to Kathy, if she hadn’t jumped back in surprise he was now particularly close to her, he felt his cheeks flush. What are you doing? He couldn’t make himself move studying her face for a moment too long, noting how deep her- He jumped back suddenly rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly as he cleared his throat looking a little flustered. Damn it!” Why’d I do that...? “Sorry” He finished his previous apology. Crash looked over at the lion again with a scowl on his face. The lion spun on the spot, his tongue lolling out of his mouth as he breathed his ears drooped as did his tail as if apologetically. By now the librarian looked about ready to tear her own hair out, there had been so much chaos since Crash had walked into the library! “Caleb! I can’t take anymore today please, for the love of this library get your books and go” The librarian pleaded, her voice was low but there was a sharp pitch to it as she spoke. “Erm, yeah I’m just going. Sorry” He apologized. “I’m being evicted; let me know when you’re done here I can help you look for your friends if you like?” He offered to Kathy, his face back to its normal color as he smiled at her. The lion grumbled and jumped up wagging its tail in delight, there was another whooshing noise and the previously stacked papers flew onto the floor. Crash glanced at the papers before he literally spun on the spot and sprinted for the door, he’d barely made it through the sliding doors before a book collided with his head. He exclaimed loudly, once he was clear of the door he sunk into a crouch pressing the bump on his head with both of his hands, peering at the book she’d launched at him. Romeo and Juliet...bloody Shakespeare The librarian gave the lion a withering look that made him retreat behind Kathy practically sticking to her heels.
