You can keep telling me how stupid my decisions were based on your brilliant gift of foresight if you wish, it really makes no difference to me. I'm only working with the information my character has at the time, and standing around chatting when people are actually dying only a couple hundred feet in front of you is ridiculous at best.It would also be completely out of character, and if you have to do that in order to 'win' then you've already missed the point, something I find a lot in Arena.
It's not a matter of winning or not. Its a matter of actually using your head, and your characters doing the same. You didn't have to talk to anyone. You couldn't have given your district. However, you just ran in, into the unknown and quite possibly alone. That would go against most peoples' training. And it gets a survivalist killed. I'm not standing around chatting, I was getting information on what is inside to better prepare the cast for what may be to come. Information is power. So, while I know that there's people who are obviously insanely strong running about, swinging chainswords (an advanced technology that we don't have and implies strength given that its a Chain. Sword. That they are swinging. Around), you have no clue of what you are against, where you are going, what the environment and events are doing to the people who are dying and... oh, yeah, you're going to address to the "when people are actually dying only a couple hundred feet in front of you--" by... Adding yourself to that list of people? I'm giving you insight on how this RP works.I'm not playing to win. I'm playing my character too. But I'm using my head, and implying that my character actually has some common sense or a semblance of a real IQ score. :3 But, ok. Your decision. I don't expect your person to live past a couple rounds.
